I bought a solar shower like this for my first year. I never used it. All the girls in my camp would use up all the water before I got a chance. I don't really like it anyway. It's fucking heavy when it's full and a bitch to carry, especially if you're far from water. I wouldn't recommend it.
I've seen some people hook up showers like mine in little tents like this, which is probably nice for privacy's sake, but if you're gonna spend all that money, you may as well just buy a shower pass and use the showers at Roo.
Someone at our camp bought a garden sprayer like this, which I thought was genius. It works great, you just need a buddy to spray you down.
In all honesty, I just use water jugs and pour them over my head in the mornings. Two gallons is exactly how much I need and it's simple and cheap. Plus, you never really want hot water anyway. It's so fucking hot out all the time that cold/room temperature water feels fucking great.
My solar shower is seriously the best investment I've ever made for festivals. It paid for itself in 2 days ($25 total vs $10/person/day) and honestly, I prefer it to the shower trucks (although I haven't tried the permanent ones). One of my very favorite parts of the day is standing on the grass in the warm Bonnaroo sunshine with a beer in one hand taking a cool shower and thinking of all the awesome stuff I'm gonna see and do that night.
It's big enough for 2 people to use back-to-back but small enough that I can easily carry it back from the water station. Plus it's great for brushing your teeth or washing your hands during the day. 10/10 totally recommend.
I have 3 battery powered fans. Out of all 3 I think this one is the best one. Its smaller but that makes it portable and it has a lot of power (more than the next two I have) and has rechargeable batteries which are a big plus!
This one is nice to have hanging from the ceiling in your tent and also has a nice light for at night but its not that powerful at all and takes 2 D batteries.
Lastly this is the one you can get from walmart or amazon. It takes the most batteries (6 D batteries) but has pretty good power if its close to you. It can be awkward to position in your tent for it to actually cool you off depending on your sleeping situation...
Thanks!
Where to find: I know there's someone with an Etsy store with similar stickers on the sub, very cool and a bit holographic. I wouldn't be surprised if a screen printing bot pops up offering this exact design for sale either, but I've got nothing to do with them. I'm probably gonna make a few to bring for gifts/trades. Other than that though, feel free to use it to make your own if you'd like! You could get a high quality print of just about anything and put it in something like these DIY buttons as one idea. Sky's the limit from there!
Diffraction glasses, like these https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B005JT5P7A/ref=pd_aw_sim_23_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=2J2WHV4669K5CPXWCTD8 you can buy them in bulk super cheap and some companies will print custom ones. Everyone will fucking love it

Cant go wrong with this one. It sells out often though so be careful. Brought this to 4 roos already, its awesome. Just get a cot with this and you'll sleep as well as you can at roo 😎

I bought this one! Tested it out and it's comfortable, works fine, and is really sparkly and cute! It's also only $23, at the moment.
That blanket/towel can get lighter if you want to pick up a parachute blanket. Highly recommend I love this thing and it weighs almost nothing
I bought this one and one set of batteries lasted for the entire weekend of using it 6-8 hours every night: http://www.amazon.com/BATTERY-OPERATED-INDOOR-OUTDOOR-ADAPTER/dp/B001APXO5C/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1369826627&sr=8-6
That thing is a total lifesaver in the tent in the morning. Definitely enabled an extra hour of sleep for me every morning.

Just got mine yesterday. Huge capacity, should work great on the farm with all the direct sunlight.
Got this guy to fit the rules. Has a bladder pocket and 1 zipper pocket, per rules. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01L8JEE1M/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1526771623&sr=8-4&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=camelbak%2Bbackpack&th=1&psc=1
The Aurora someone else listed has been my go-to for years, but technically does not fit the Roo rules since it does state 2 pockets, 1 for the bladder, 1 additional pocket.
That being said, the pocket on the one I listed above is TINY. I am going to get creative about how my things will fit in it, but also will probably rock a fanny pack. I'm struggling with backpack rules, but trying to follow them since I can't imagine life without a hydration pack at Roo.
I have this hydration pack. I have used the same one twice at hangout fest. My son’s has made it through two hangout festivals and slossfest. For the price we have gotten out money’s worth

I use This It's awesome for keeping air moving in the tent and can charge anything with a car adapter. Also I've never used more than two sets of batteries for near constant use all bonnaroo long. Though there is a very specific and confusing way to put in the batteries so make sure you read the instructions.
Activated charcoal tablets- ever seen those $10 hangover cure juices from fancy juice bars? This is what’s in them. It helps filter toxins and undigested alcohol from your liver! Pop a couple before sleeping, a couple more in the morning, drink lots of water.
Nature's Way Charcoal Activated; 560 mg Charcoal per serving; 100 Capsules (Packaging May Vary) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0006LCQ4Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_7L03CbPMN6EJE
I use this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B013BOC6VC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01H583DJ4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 . The cheaper one works just as well, it just doesn't have a light on it.
Glowsticks aren't allowed so stash them well. Fingerlights are allowed so you can bring them without worrying about them being hidden. Fireworks glasses don't glow, but they enhance all other glow toys and stage lights.
I'm sure this is the one they're taking about, but its an add on item.

Lastly the camp towel
Works wonders for drying off after the mushroom fountain, soaking with water and putting on your neck, or just laying over your face for some shut eye while in centeroo.
This USB solar charger is currently on sale for $30 on Amazon.
Should get you through the weekend, no problems.
some stuff you might want to think about bringing:
>lock and chain/bike chain.
you're going to be leave your campsite for ~12 hrs if no one goes back for a break. it takes about a minute to run a chain through your cooler handles, foldable chairs and other stuff. it's also easy to jb weld a metal loop onto an ez-up so they dont walk away either, i've never heard of someone ganking an entire ez up at roo, but i'd be pissed if mine was gone when i came back after the first night.
its easy for someone to walk off with one chair, its almost impossible for someone to carry your entire campsite away without anyone saying anything about it. and if you bring enough chain you can loop it around the wheel of your car, and i doubt thieves are going to go through all that hassle when no one else is locking their shit down.
>rug/carpet
grass might be super long at your campsite
>battery powered fan and string
hang the fan from the middle of your tent and itll be cool enough to get a few more hours sleep in the morning
>battery powered camp lantern
flashlights are good, but a handsfree light that illuminates everything around it is really nice if you dont go to sleep as soon as you get back to your camp.
>extra socks into centeroo
i prefer sanucks and going sockless, but if you're wearing socks bring an extra pair with you in your camelpack/backpack. wet socks suck and can mess up your whole weekend if you're stuck wearing them
