Yea i feel you. But I was looking for something a little smaller than most beakers. I know you can get real small ones, but with those I always struggle with splashback. And I also just wanted somethung a little different. I already have a huge beaker that I like a lot, but for me it is just a little too big to be practical as a daily driver.

I like having a nice little portable piece to do snaps with while i'm tooling around the house. Honestly for me its my preferred way of consuming, it helps me conserve and every hit is green. For little snaps like these I prefer a smaller piece with enough diffusion but I try to avoid drag and splashback, and ice is a nice plus. And I really like having a remove-able down-stem for ease of cleaning. I had been using a sake bottle a lot and i really liked it, but it broke.

I replaced it with a basic banger hanger and this little recycling ash catcher and used it a lot for little flower snaps. I am surprised at how well the two work together, like they were meant for each other, and I really liked the function of this combo.

But I dont like the way I get a resin taste on my lips from the mouthpiece of the banger hanger. I use clean water every session, and I always clean my pieces with iso after 2 or 3 uses to keep them clean, but I would start noticing that resiny buildup on the trumpet style mouthpiece of the banger hanger after just a few hits.

So I started looking to replace it with something small with a different style mouthpiece, and was thinking of getting another sake bottle, because I like adding these little bullet ice cubes through the down-stem joint, (it never feels like much trouble to remove the downstem and pop a few "cubes" in) but I like the added diffusion of the ashcatcher, and i remember the sake bottle was prone to tipping with the ashcatcher.

So I decided to look for something similar, but different. I found this little bendy guy, and have really been liking it.

word i used to use that back in the day. but the problem with it is the wick is exposed to the elements. so things like dust, hair, hand oils etc stick to the bees wax and contaminate the wick and thats kinda defeating the purpose of using it in the first place as those elements create toxic carcinogens when ignited it combust and inevitable gets inhaled. it also doesnt have a poker built into it like id rather use the [toker poker] (https://www.amazon.com/Toker-Poker-Black/dp/B00HCOTX6E) over the hemplights for that reason if i had too. i dont know why but there is very few hemp wick lighter dispensers that have the wick enclosed in a case and all of them that i can find unfortunately are made for use with the mini bic lighters. the best one ive used was the [FlickWic] (https://www.amazon.com/Dispenser-Lighter-I-Tal-Spool-FlicWic/dp/B01HTX1WS4) not on amazon atm [direct link] (http://www.flicwic.com/). but i hate the mini bic lighters they are hard for me to light i have big fingers and tiny stuff just doesnt work for me. so like a few years ago i fabricated my own wick dispenser that my lighterbro slides into snugly. wish i could just take a picture would be alot easier to explain.. but essentially i just made a small box out of wood and wood glue that fits around the lighterbros base. then added a metal pipe feeder that runs from the wood box to the top of the lighter for the snuffer and just used strong super glue to attach the pipe to the wood box. then just put a wooden spool inside the box that feeds directly into the snuffer pipe through a small hole in the wood box. the wick box attaches and detaches fairly easily lil tug and a push or two so im not left with an somewhat cumbersome wick box when i dont need it. but its strong and tight enough to not fall off and or break used that thicc wood so its pretty durable. i have drooped it from the top of ladders on to concrete several times and only dented it a bit. sorry for the book im a bit of a hemp wick connoisseur, both my physical and mental health improved so much after i stopped using butane that im very advocate for simple better life choices like that now.

Thank you for the suggestions! Those sent me down a rabbit hole of searching and I eventually came upon this guy which seems pretty awesome! I think I’m going to order it! You really are the China glass god, haha. I’ve gone through this entire process based off of your suggestions.

I use this with sleeving for a hookah-like vapor-bong experience, very flexible and works well. You can probably find 'medical grade' or something of the sort in the same size if that is something you care about but this type of tubing is used in drink dispensers and whatnot and is safe to 500f so I figure they are safe enough for vaporizer use.

Plastic ones break a lot easier but I would imagine you would hear it break and/or see a piece of plastic in your flower. To answer your question; I think it's safe as long as your not smoking the plastic that comes off when it breaks.
I usually just order one of these off amazon. They've always worked well for me

This Silicone Tubing just arrived today to replace the tubing on my new FC-UFO. I measured the tubing that came with the piece with my calipers and got 8mm internal diameter (5/16”) and 12mm external diameter (7/16”.) I chose that tubing because it had the highest heat rating, 500* F, although most other silicone tubes were rated up to 450 which I would think would be plenty. When I was waiting for the tubing I realized that the FC-UFO hits great using the 90 degree tubing attachment as a mouthpiece. The tubular flared mouthpiece was hard for me to get a good seal on without pushing it into my face really hard.

These guys just don't understand science. If you want a truly scientific rig, you have to perform scientific algorithms. You obviously want something like this.

DHGate isn't really well known for having good grinders but here's a few you may want to check out:

here here and here

However you're not gonna see much if any savings between the 'gate and Amazon or similar, try these:
here and here (this one's 3 inches wide)
