If you like those "who would win in a fight" type stories, you might enjoy it more, but it seemed pretty light on humor to me in favor of leaning on the fourth wall really hard, not that those things are exclusive. I enjoyed Deadpool Vs The Marvel Universe much better as it was the end of the Deadpool/Cable series and thus was a good bridge back to his solo stuff.

Yes it is, and thank you! And I can pull together a list/guide if you'd like, here's the best I've got off the top of my head:

Mask

Pouches

Gloves

Belt buckle

Sword Sheathes

Bracers

Kneepads

As for the rest of it, the shirt was something I had a friend sew out of some underarmor knockoff I bought from Walmart. Gun is a cheap airsoft Desert Eagle with some paint and googly eyes, and the other two (that were sadly confiscated by con security) were M9's.
Swords are from a basic halloween shop, they were nice and had a sheathe and colored blade and were about the right size.

If you have any questions about how to make anything in particular, let me know and I'll be happy to help.

The DeadPool belt buckle was hand made with:

1 CD (for Tracing the circles in the foam board)

Foam Board (3 Layers)Exacto Knife

Sandpaper

Modgpodge Sealer + Paintbrush

Black spray paint

Cardboard

Acrylic paints

--Use the CD as a trace for the Foam Board. cut out three circle layers, and also cut
out the symbol if you want to keep a 3-D look.

--Use any kind of glue to put together the pieces, and then apply sandpaper to the edges of the buckle to round them out. Also use sandpaper on small areas for fine touches.

--Begin applying the Modgepodge Sealer with the paint brush.

--After drying spray paint the whole buckle. If you didn't add any sealer the buckle will become soggy and deform.

--After drying the paint, apply your acrylic colours and you're done.

--Add more sealer for extra protection if you'd like.

--I also glued the C-D I used for tracing to the back for added support the prevent it from bending at the edges, and added velcro to it and the belt. It is very sturdy.

---- Here are the links to everything I purchased for my costume.

-The Suit - I made sure to use the custom sizing because I'm 6'6, so I think it's worth the couple minutes to size yourself.

-The Swords - I live in Canada, and these are the best swords I could find that work well for the cosplay, and have a good shipping price.

-The Belt and Holster

-The Gun - I already had a cheap airsoft pistol I picked up at a surplus store. I spray painted it and painted the DeadPool logo on it's side just because.

Marvel Now's 2012 Deadpool run is in my opinion to be the best take on the character to date.

You can find an omnibus (collection of all the issues in one book) for $60 on amazon
This contains about 50 issues and should be a good jumping on point if you are a fan of the movie version of Wade Wilson.

I agree. Rather than potentially buying the wrong comic, I would rather it be linked directly. Amazon works. I mean, is this what's suggested for "Cable & Deadpool" or is it something else? Also, I'm a fan of origin stories. Just because the community likes a story doesn't necessarily mean it's a good intro story.

Edit: Take a page from /r/batman's sidebar; they're doing it right.

Yep, it's one continuous run, just follow the tpb volumes up to vol 8 - All Good Things. Then it renumbers back to #1, which is the current Duggan run, and starts with Millionare with a Mouth which isn't out yet.

I know! Amazon charges so much for it:

Paperback (used): $66.52 + $3.99 shipping

Paperback Bargain Price (used): $100.12 + $3.99 shipping

Hardcover (used): $100 + $3.99 shipping

I like how the "bargain price" is more than the hardcover price.

Amazon of course!

sword - $14.99

boots $76-$110)

mask $39

suit $336

You can get the suit for cheaper, but these are the ones off of my own wishlist...

https://www.amazon.com/Deadpool-Classic-9-Classics/dp/0785185135

Deadpool Classic Vol. 9 includes Deadpool Vol.1 Issues 65-69 and Agent X Issues 1-6. One whole storyline for you!

EDITED AGAIN: Deadpool Classic Vol. 10 closes out the story with Agent X Issues 7-15.

u/TerBear62 · 1 pointr/deadpool

Here is Volume 1 and here is vol. The difference is the bigger Volume 1 has both vol.1 (issues 1-5) and vol.2. It also has the Thunderbolts issues.

u/Skrembles · 1 pointr/deadpool

Not the complete collection, unless I made a mistake.

Says it's released December 2013.

he gets killed in weapon x days of future now

Basically,
Weapon X: Days of Future Now in 2005 was released that resolved all of the dangling storylines and revealed that Wolverine's disfigurement of Weapon X Director Malcolm Colcord was the catalyst for the creation of a future similar to the "Days of Future Past" scenario.

In the series Deadpool was killed by fantomax i believe via a healing factor repressing ability.
