I found this Cannon camera bag does the trick like it was made for the Mavic. Quad, remote, cables, 3 batteries, and charger all good to go. There's a pouch on the back that was made for a waist belt, I cut that off and it fits the battery charger perfectly. Light weight, discrete, comfortable and well protected.

Here's a link if you're looking for one.

My solution, which I've only really tried once (and it was a success), is to use a camelBak backpack filled with hot water, as well as to use an insulated carrying case for the Mavic. The carrying case has the added benefit of not needing to take the propellers off so it's very fast to take off and put away.

Edit: I warmed the water to about 160 degrees Fahrenheit (CamelBak says not to put boiling water in) and was outside for about an hour in 20 degree Fahrenheit weather before flying. The Mavic stayed warm and I didn't get any warnings. I doubt it would have stayed warm if out for more than a few hours. A better solution might be to just take the battery off and put it in my pocket.

  1. Let your Mavic sit out in the cold (without a battery) for a few minutes (at least 5) before you pop in a warm battery and take off.

This helps reduce condensation frost from forming in your barometer. The barometer is the most sensitive instrument in your Mavic to moisture.

  2. Slap Adhesive toe warmers on the back of your phone or tablet to extend its battery life in the cold. Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0007ZF4PE/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1485609578&sr=8-6&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=Little+Hotties+Adhesive+Toe+Warmers

  3. The batteries warm themselves up in flight, but in extreme cold (-5 or colder) the same adhesive toe warmers could be used on the Mavic Battery. They don't add much weight. Disclaimer: I haven't tested this on the Mavic, but we've used this trick for years on DIY built drones with "naked lipos" (a lipo without a plastic case).

Personally I'd go with something like 3 of these. Yes they take 13 hours in sunlight to fully charge, but it will save you $440 vs the powerhouse. Have the power banks sit out and charge all day, let the mavic batteries charge all night, rinse and repeat.

The Lowepro Nov Sport 7L AW. Small soft case which fits Mavic Pro, controller, extra battery, charger (in external pocket), and small accessories (SD cards, spare propellers). It's worked perfectly for me. It also has a rain cover built in.

Here are the pictures I promised. I also bought a Tenba wrap for more protection for the Mavic and a travel cover to protect the RC.

It is PS-15 but is just a can I found out in the garage that we have had for a few years. It could be that one of the ones you listed is better.

Just posted a few options I've tried here - https://www.reddit.com/r/djimavic/comments/5di9r3/super_compact_mavic_cases_im_trying_out_a_few

Got one of these on the way too. I'm thinking if I can keep the controller and one spare battery in the attached accessory pocket it will be perfect.

I have a 2-piece windshield cover that's meant to go inside your car against the windshield to block out the sun on hot days.
They fold up real small.
I just use one as a landing pad.
They're small, lightweight and easy to carry around.

Reminds me of this bag I bought for my DSLR a few years ago, never even thought to try it for the mavic.

I'd get a card reader.

Plus: Faster tranfser.
Minus: You can forget to put the card back in the Mavic.

Less than $5 for this one. Works fine for me:

So - I charged two batteries in the field during some field work last week. One of those big 12V jump-start / tyre pump batteries with the 12V Mavic recharger can refill a Mavic battery in about an hour - you will need a larger capacity one to recharge more than once. But realistically - you need a generator.

Had the same issue on my macbook pro TB 2017 last month. I ended up getting this

Amazon Type C to Micro

Problems seemed to have fixed it self. Not sure if this is the problem but maybe it has to do something with the adapter. Alternitivly have you tried updating it from the DJI Go app connected to the radio?

Got this Domke wrap here, 19 x 19

Domke F-34L 19-Inch Protective Wrap -Red https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00009R88J/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_IfzvybHMMB364

Originally bought the Tenba 22 x 22 but found it to have lots of loose threads and it felt lower quality, though it was thicker. It barely fit in the bag I wanted to use, so I dropped down to the smaller Domke

I'm wondering if this could work as a landing / launch pad too or maybe it's too difficult of a target to hit
