Right, and technology based calc is based on this book and is not a full calculus class.
Like I said earlier, Ok State offers the ability to get a full FPE degree (part of which is taking regular calc), but I don't think a single person has actually done that yet.

You need more than just hydraulics but a better understanding of NFPA 13 and 13R. If you don't have a copy of NFPA 13 handbook get one ASAP.
Oklahoma state has some distance learning classes on fire protection design, but I would really order Brocks book on fire sprinkler hydraulics, most will be principals you know but it also gives some step by step direction.
