Some years ago, I wrote a screenplay for a short film about a cursed Aztec sword that was found by a Young man in modern times, and he fought against all kind of monsters and creatures from Mexican folklore and mythology.

This was never filmed, but we took a lot of conceptual pictures, and some friends made a few drawings, we even build a real black macuahuitl.

Using this old drawings (with the approval of the friends who drew it), I finished the prologue of the story, in storybook form. It’s a very short story, and I made it bilingual, so people who knows english or spanish are able to read it.

It has 16 pages with drawings, but the digital version will be free until tuesday, so, if someone wants to download it, I’ll add the links on Amazon Mexico and Amazon US (It's free in every marketplace).

Thank you for taking the time to read this, downloading it, and giving me your opinion.

There is a space under the top of the roof for ventilation, but the bottom part is solid and covers the bars. Also, unlike with frames in a Langstroth hive, the top bars sit flush against each other, forming a tight seal (Photo). The roof provides added protection from the sun and rain.

If you're interested in top-bar hives, I highly recommend "Top-Bar Beekeeping: Organic Practices for Honeybee Health" by Les Crowder and Heather Harrell, and "The Thinking Beekeeper: A Guide to Natural Beekeeping in Top Bar Hives" by Christy Hemenway. Backyardhive.com has a great DVD on top-bar hive management.

My friend Rich did something like this (more generally, not specifically asking for free stuff) and ended up putting it all together in a book.

The best story is when he got some of those sort of caramel candies that have a white creamy filling in the middle but which had no creamy filling and wrote to the company about it, they sent him something like 5 pounds of the filling, just in case it happened again.

Though I just found a video from way back when, him reading a great letter and response (free concert tickets!) to Tweeter.

This was a point in an 'audiophile' debate a little while back... Some people honestly can't hear a difference between sound that's quality A and sound that's quality B. There are others who like to nitpick and go with one setup over another, because they claim they can hear a massive difference. Some people can hear that difference. I know with some songs, they get a "swimmy" sound if they're not ripped properly, or if the CD player's starting to go. I don't hear differences in quality, unless there's something wrong with the sound.

The 1saleaday headphones have a strange stereo separation with really weak drivers (or whatever they are) that makes everything sound like it was recorded on a handycam and is being played back from behind you through a parabolic speaker made out of a Best Value coffee can.

I'm used to my $5 Sony MDR-Q22 headphones. They're kinda bassy, seem pretty flat, and don't rattle under heavy load (DnB tracks). I'm absolutely certain there are hordes of people who'd say that would tell me I'm listening to absolute shit.

TL;DR -- To each his/her own.

I once got tile floor samples shipped to me. I use them daily as coasters. They're about 3" X 5" X 0.5" thick. They need some felt pads stuck on them to keep from sliding on or scratching my glass coffee table though. Basically these coasters for a much lower price.

They're great for putting candles on. The Yankee Candle large size fits pretty nicely on it. It sits on my nightstand. This one is heavy enough it doesn't slide. It isn't necessary, but it looks nice. Might get one of these to do the same with.

Another, unrelated use for construction samples. Someone I knew I was planning on making a scratching post for their cat. Went to Home Depot to get a section of carpet. Ended up getting a bunch of carpet square samples and made a mosaic kind of thing.

Have you tried wet platinum? Just curious about how you would think it compares. It's the only silicone lube I have any experience with, and I think it's awesome.

$0 is too much? :)

My hardcover is imitation leather with foil stamping, heavy paper, and full-color endsheets (thus the retail price). The retail price for Stephen King's book 11/22/63, for instance, is $35 (regular ol' hardcover).

I do, however, sell signed copies of my book for only $15.99 (with free shipping) from my own website here.

I may have to give that a shot! Another really good crumble if you're looking for taco-style is this stuff. It's a dry mix, so it's shelf stable and it's really tasty.

For those who would prefer not to take from the ACLU because they are a nonprofit, Amazon has a pocket constitution for $1 (free shipping w/ Prime).

Sure, but using filtered coffee still uses much much less plastic.
Then again, if you get a brass mesh filter, then you eliminate paper filters: http://www.amazon.com/Cuisinart-GTF-Gold-Tone-Filter/dp/B0001IRRLG

I've had mine for almost 5 years.

If you want absolute silence there's a product that's synonymous with that here in Germany: Ohropax. They're wax earplugs. And they're one of those products that just work.

Apparently you can get them in the US through importers and even Amazon. (Assuming that's where you are).

they owe us free coffee for the way they scam people with ink prices.

It sorta rained this morning. I was hoping it would be enough to wash away the dirt but it just made it worse. Time to buy a California car duster.

What services do these tongs give besides grabbing shit?
