• Bejeweled 3 -- Buy Here -- You know this game. It's like all the others. Anyway, there's a Zen Mode in the game where you can turn off the awesome music and instead turn on like ocean waves and shit, and binaural sounds to calm you and all that. That's why I included this game.
  
• Kami -- Buy Here -- Fill the screen with a single color in the least amount of moves. The music is calming and the puzzles aren't very harsh. It's nice. :D
  
• Knytt Series:
  
  • Knytt -- Download Here -- You are a knytt. You decide to go on a little adventure, when you're abducted by an alien! The alien proceeds to accidentally crash on another planet, and it's up to you to find all the alien's spaceship parts so you both can go home.
    
  • Knytt Stories -- Download Here (levels here) -- The story depends on what level you're playing, but you're usually playing as Juni and something happens to make you explore. This is one of the nicest games I have ever played, as well as one of the most relaxing.
    
  • Knytt Underground -- Buy Here -- You are Mi Sprocket, a mute sprite living in an underground world populated entirely by fairies and sprites. On a very special day, it is tasked to you to ring the six bells of fate scattered around this underground world...and if you don't, the world will end!
    
• Tabletop Simulator -- Buy Here -- It's a game where you can play board/card/DnD/etc games by yourself or with your friends. That can be zen. Here are some of the games you can find on the workshop: Tatenoko, Betrayal at House on the Hill, Candy Land, Cards Against Humanity, Hanafuda, Monopoly, CTHULHU!!, Secret Hitler, Triple Triad, and The Hyrule Fantasy. I'd play a couple games of whatever with you, if that makes any difference.
  
• Lyne -- Buy Here -- Make lines between all the colored shapes, but you can't cross the lines! It's a quiet little game with an interesting atmosphere. Also the pictures on all the achievements you can get are boxes with letters in them, meaning you can spell out words on your profile.

Hahaha, went through the same thing some time ago. A couple bits of advice:

• In general, turn-based games will be your best bet, but by no means does this constrain you to RPGs (at the moment I'm playing Dungeons of Dredmor, which can be done entirely with the mouse). I did well with some titles like Gratuitous Space Battles and Dwarf Fortress (which although realtime, can be paused at any time and controlled by just the keyboard).
  
  
• Consider puzzle or puzzle-like games
  
  
• I seem to recall a few DS / 3DS games having alternate button presets specifically designed to allow the game to be played with just one hand, but can't remember off the top of my head which ones...
  
  
• Also, macros/hotkeys can be very useful. Something like Auto Hotkey / X-Mouse Button Control combined with either a cheap gaming mouse with multiple buttons, or a keyboard-heavy game can allow you to map all the keyboard commands to the mouse, or map any complicated commands to one chunk of the keyboard.
  
  
• In TF2 I can confirm from experience that it is possible to play Sniper, run up to a Sniping Spot by alternating between the mouse and keyboard, then just camp out using only the mouse. Obviously wouldn't work for competitive stuff, but on pubs it went surprisingly well. For extra credit, copy to your clipboard some text like, "You just got sniped by someone holding a baby" and hit Ctrl-V + Enter after every kill :D
  
  
• Something I didn't discover for a very long time: any product similar to a Baby Bjorn is an absolute gamechanger. Hours at a time, with both hands free!

Rise of Nations, it's a somewhat old but still pretty great RTS, looks like you can get Gold Edition pretty cheap on Amazon.

It has 24 (18+6 from the expansion) different nations from all around the world and you play from across 8 different ages, starting from the Ancient Age to the Information Age.

You can play it in singleplayer/multiplayer, with your standard random maps. It also has a singleplayer campaign called Conquer the World, which plays similar to Risk, there are five of these "campaigns" dealing with conquering the whole world, along with smaller campaigns such as Alexander the Great, Napoleon, the New World (America), and the Cold War.

Well... don't know how much this fulfills all your needs, but I surely suggest looking into SpaceBeastTerrorFright. The demo is free but it's randomized, pretty difficult and probably won't entertain you for 10 hours.

Also some other games that come to mind:

• Crysis + CrysisWarhead - not as old, but surely feels like a real FPS to me. Way better than Bulletstorm, imo, but of course also slower and not as action-packed etc.

I know this is a bit tangential, but a few years ago I broke my right hand (one of the bones between the wrist and the base of the finger) but couldn't work without using a mouse. I ended up buying one of these and could use it while my hand was in a cast and even raided in WoW with it.

Medieval Conquest is a kingdom sim with gameplay that borrows heavily from the first Majesty game. It's not as good as Majesty but it's an ok budget title.

Startopia is an excellent sim/management game where you build a space station without directly controlling units.

You could also look into some of the classic base-building games like Dungeon Keeper, DK2 and Evil Genius.

The PC version and PS1 versions are on Amazon. It's also on the PSN if you have a modern playstation system. For PC, it might work with compatibility mode in Windows 10 (W10 supposedly plays nicer with older games) or by using a virtual install of Windows 95. Maybe DOSBox is an option?

I use, a Logitech RumblePad 2 for pretty much everything.

I've had it for maybe ~6 years now and it's never failed me.

It's $25 there on Amazon, but you can find a used, working one on Ebay for $10. They even have wireless ones.

I also have this particular USB SNES controller from Retrolink and it works well enough!

If you're looking for something a bit unique and tongue-in-cheek, check out Stubbs the Zombie. Pretty unique concept, as you play a zombie in the 50's-themed future.

That's not a thing, sorry. The closest you're going to get is trying to find a gift card for 3 months of Game Pass Ultimate, but those are flying off the shelves, and you can only use them once per account per year.

You could always get them a prepaid credit card and just tell them to use that to pay for it. $60 should cover a year, assuming they are eligible for the $1 first month promo .
