Logitech G500s
The free scrolling feature is great for hockey?. You click a little button at the base of the mouse wheel and it switches between normal scrolling and free scrolling where the mouse wheel spins freely without the stops. It lets you do some interesting things like spin the wheel quickly enough to pass/shoot with just the rotation of your stick.
It also comes with weights if you want a heavier mouse for some reason, though it's already fairly heavy without them.
Adjustable DPI up to 8200 if that's your cup of tea.
You can also bind macros to any of the buttons which is pretty useless for hockey aside from binding spacebar to the same key multiple times to jump really high.
Cyborg (MadKatz) R.A.T. 7 set to 3000 DPI. Nice and modular, with weights that you can remove or add to get the feel that you're looking for. I had problems tracking on a dark surface, so went with a Shiny silver one and never looked back.
Edit: I'm also using a Mechanical Keyboard, 27" monitor and bitching office chair. Fucking around level: 0.
I heard this one is high quality.
