well for that price range, you won't get any killer sounds to take advantage of the quad dac if you have it, but you can get some great quality headphones. I really like Audio-Technica, with that price range you should be able to get good sound using this:

https://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-ATH-M20x-Professional-Monitor-Headphones/dp/B00HVLUR18/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1521884950&sr=8-3&keywords=audio+technica+headphones

Or these ones:

https://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-AUD-ATHCKS550ISBK-Headphones-Microphone/dp/B018U5YJH6/ref=sr_1_141?ie=UTF8&qid=1521885067&sr=8-141&keywords=audio+technica+headphones

Obviously the over the ear headphones will sound better, but the "portability" quality is gone

If you're looking for a super minimal case, I recommend the Anccer gravel case
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077QBNLM7

It's hard plastic, but with a slightly rough texture. The texture increase grip and reduced fingerprint. Durability seems okay so far. There aren't any chips or cracks after one month.

This SanMin was also good looking and I love the built in metal plate for magnetic mounts. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XSRMF2N But I don't recommend it because it is extremely fragile. Other reviews mentioned that, but I thought they were exaggerating. My case broke after 3 days without any major drops.

I got this one.

I had the same case when I had my 6p.

Shows off the nice color of the phone and it provides what I think is solid protector on edges.

3 feet drop, onto the screen. I was using a case: Spigen Tough Armor https://www.amazon.com/Spigen-Reinforced-Kickstand-Protection-Technology/dp/B01MYAJT88/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1539389922&sr=8-1&keywords=spigen+lg+g6.

It landed on its screen, but I also had a tempered glass screen protector on it and that didnt receive any damage.

Since my original post, the phone now doesnt turn on at all. I got home from work and plugged it in the charger, and it just shows a red question mark in the battery icon, not receiving charge.

Looks like I'm going to have to perform surgery (or a professional)

Want to buy this cable
https://www.amazon.com/Anker-PowerLine-Durability-MacBook-Nintendo/dp/B01LNAAEJ2/

And a slim fit clear case:

https://www.amazon.com/Asmart-Protection-Plastic-Backplate-Transparent/dp/B06VWGD7MJ/
www.amazon.com/Spigen-Crystal-Protection-Premium-Clarity/dp/B01NBWSX8S/

And some for minimalist drop protection
www.amazon.com/Spigen-Coated-Surface-Excellent-Compatible/dp/B01N6T3N9T

Does anyone have experience with any of the above or perhaps a better recommendation?

on amazon you're looking at the international version H870, it's GSM only and won't work on CDMA like verizon, also idk if it has wireless charging or not (source: https://www.techwalls.com/lg-g6-model-numbers-differences/)

The version at B&H is US997, it works on GSM and CDMA, technically the u.s. cellular version, but looks like that's going to be the u.s. unlocked version. The u.s. unlocked version on Amazon is here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XYRS7CT

Or you can pre-order direct from LG here: http://www.lg.com/us/cell-phones/lg-US997-Black-Unlocked

edit: for the sake of completeness

Here's the link to B&H: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1322814-REG/lg_g6_us997_32gb_smartphone.html

And, here's the link to B&H where you get an LG Watch Style for an extra $50 (instead of $250): https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1335245-REG/lg_black_g6_32gb_smartphone.html

I bought this one. It works fairly well. As mentioned earlier, the G6 does not quick charge wirelessly. Found that out the hard way. Still, it's a great charger.

i just use this one

looks nice and has good protection

I've had a good experience with them so far. The braid keeps them very rigid. Power transfer from fast charger is solid and data transfer is good.

I would recommend the Fiio A1 I use it with my Sennheiser HD598 to push them a little louder than the volume allows. Plus it has a few built in EQ settings. However the first EQ setting is the only one I recommend.

the MNML case is available on amazon - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B06XGC7JJZ/ref=sr_1_20?s=telephone&ie=UTF8&qid=1499184566&sr=1-20&keywords=lg+g6+case

I havent bought it yet though...£15 is pricey. I went with the Olixar for now. Do you have one? what is it like?

u/eruditionfish · 6 pointsr/lgg6

I actually (sort of) have one. I bought the Ringke Fusion (which has a TPU frame with an acrylic back panel) when I got my phone. And just today, I noticed that the seam between the TPU and acrylic was coming apart. So I carefully peeled them apart all the way, and now I have a kind of DIY bumper.

It's a bit of a loose fit, since the original design was relying on the stiff acrylic for structure, but it's not terrible either. I'll try it out for a few days to see if it works.

u/Steelersnsox · 1 pointr/lgg6

This is the one that I have. I really like it and it's got covers for the headphone jack and the charging port.

Please plug in your phone and backup your information before it decides to stop working.

Also, if you have any screen issues, look into something like this and just plug in a mouse.

u/asfd64 · 1 pointr/lgg6

It happens on this wireless charger I got https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M0IL0QX/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_HRA4yb2VPEAD5

It also happens on the original Samsung charger that came out with the S6. Maybe it's just a tip and not related to how you currently placed the device.

u/Littleking77 · 1 pointr/lgg6

I'm from Canada too. I'd order the LG G6 from Amazon.com. They are currently on sale and being the US variant, you can unlock the bootloader and root it. Comes to about $620 after conversion fees. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B06XYRS7CT/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1504654577&sr=8-5&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=Lg+g6&dpPl=1&dpID=41fi5gB%2BWsL&ref=plSrch

u/pewnflap · 2 pointsr/lgg6

I tried it with mine and I still had issues intermittently. At the suggestion of someone I can remember, i purchased a "4-pole" extension cable

I haven't had a single issue in three months.

u/danieljackheck · 1 pointr/lgg6

For people afraid of breaking anything else on their phone I have found that using a 3-pole extension cable will eliminate this issue.

Something similar to this:
https://www.amazon.com/KabelDirekt-Headset-Extension-Cable-female/dp/B00RXNUR8M

u/Kira_Onime · 5 pointsr/lgg6

My former case is what you see underneath the phone.

Anccer Colorful Series

u/sprint_user · 2 pointsr/lgg6

I've been using this thing: https://smile.amazon.com/Seneo-Wireless-Certified-Charging-Compatible/dp/B01M0IL0QX

Keep in mind the LG G6 does NOT have wireless fast charging, it will charge much slower than it does on the cable.

I bought it because i can leave it on my desk/in the cradle and look at notifications and etc as needed.

for pics, evo cards are fine or any basic from a reputable company...

For UHD video to be recorded directly onto the sdcard, depending on the bitrate (e.g. 40mbps etc), you need a card that can write at a speed greater than that, Samsung Pro cards are rated to write around 80-90mbps and read around the same, Sandisk has similar cards but where i am, Samsung is cheaper.
I myself got the Samsung pro 64gb microsd for the above reason, those evo cards that display 95mbps, thats for read, write is still limited to 15-20mbps. But the 2017 Samsung Evo Select after a certain size can write at ~90mbps i think its 64 or 128gb, only disadvantage of this over a pro card is that its MLC meaning if both were used exactly the same again and again, the pro would last longer than the evo select
