Forgive me for answering in English, but unfortunately Spanish is not my first language. I feel like I can make my point clearer in English.

The idea of Mexico being a mestizo nation is a myth. That's because any indigenous person that dresses in western clothing is automatically labeled as mestizo. Many indigenous communities underwent a process in which they lost most of their native language and customs, which were replaced by Spanish and western clothing. But they are still indigenous people.

We Mexicans need to stop clinging to this idea that we have white blood in our veins because that's not the case for most Mexicans. And for those that do, it shouldn't be a point of pride.

I believe you don't understand the term 'mestizo'

Mexico is a mestizo nation as only 10-14% of the population is indigenous (amerindians). The rest of the population is a mixture of Indian-White-Black ancestry, it even has been postulated that no pure race exists today as hundreds of years since being conquered (1519) and the import of 600,000 black slaves (early 16th century) has had an impact on all of the population.

An indigenous (amerindian) dressed in western clothing would be called 'mestizo' and that would be correct, as mestizo not only refers to the racial mixture of amerindians-spaniards (or amerindian-white european). But also to a phenomenon exclusive to Mexico called "mestizaje".

As you probably know, Mexico's indigenous culture was pretty much destroyed during the spaniard invasion, language and religion were imposed on the population and after the revolution the elite developed the construction of the mexican national identity, the "Mestizo identity".

It pisses me off to no end to write about this and I don't want to elaborate in the destruction of my (our) culture, suffice to say that mestizo is a correct term for any mexican not identifying fully neither with any indigenous culture nor with a particular non-Mexican heritage, but rather identifies as having cultural traits and heritage incorporating elements from indigenous and European traditions

I don't see where you are heading with this. Just being factual, mexican population does have white (European) ancestry just like it has Black ancestry as well (1.8% (±3.5%) of African, and 1.2% (±1.8%) of East Asian ancestry).

It is estimated that on average the population is 41.8% (±15.5%) of European ancestry, towards the north of the country the percentage is higher (northern Sonora is 61.6% European ancestry) and towards the south indigenous ancestry is higher (the southern state of Guerrero showed on average 71.5% of indigenous ancestry)

Most mexicans do have white (European) ancestry (blood) in them (remember that you need ~25% haplotype in order to show up phenotypically), I don't know why it should or shouldn't be a point of pride as you say...

2013, still watching TV. Anyways, Mexico is racist (towards the indigenous population, in large part because of the damned mestizaje) and mexicans want to see on TV that which they like (not being indigenous) and the TV networks happily oblige.

It's not that those actors aren't mexicans or are pure blooded aryan master race, it's just that their mixture has less Indian, Black and Asian ancestry.

Great question, because there's no simple answer. The Council on Foreign Relations published a book on this very question a few years ago. It's called Start Up Nation.

I read it a couple years ago. Many of the discovered reasons are a combination of culture, history, and circumstance.

• Culture: Failure is an accepted part of life. A person who opened a business that failed is not shunned at all. It's a part of the larger Israeli/Zionist culture of continuing to move forward, even after defeat and/or failure. This is a part of the 'chutzpa' (a Yiddish word roughly meaning gaul) of the Israeli ethos.
  
  
• History: There has for a long time been an importance placed upon education in Jewish history. Israel, if I recall correctly, is the only country where it's people established a University before establishing their independent state. Israel also leads the world in higher education degrees per capita. I believe that the latest stats indicate that Israel is second in University degrees per capita, trailing only Canada. • Circumstance: Because Israelis are put in the unenviable situation of requiring mandatory conscription (a draft), Israelis are put in unique circumstances. Interesting and otherwise unlikely human connections are made during military service, as people meet and work with people from outside their normal social circles. It is also a military where low-level commanders are given much more decision-making power than any other military, which normally use a top-down command and control approach. Also, as a qualitative military edge is needed for the survival of Israelis and their state, the army invests in a lot of high-tech equipment. Today's military technology thus becomes repurposed (with some innovation) as tomorrow's civilian product.
  
  That's a very rough breakdown of some of the main points. The book is a really great, quick read that I'd recommend to anyone because there are a lot of lessons that can be taken for anyone's application, no matter what the person's life circumstances.

El despertar de Mexico: Episodios de una busqueda de la democracia de Julia Preston y Samuel Dillon es una excelente mirada al siglo XX en México.

Desde la revolución y la fractura del poder de 1910 a 1920+ hasta todo lo que llevo a las elecciones del 2000. El libro tiene una narrativa tan fluida que hasta se te olvida que estas leyendo un libro de historia.

Te va a aclarar algunas cosas básicas que necesitas saber para elegir una profesión. Yo llevo mas de 20 años que salí de la escuela y cuando leí el libro me hizo muchisimo sentido con lo que he aprendido el camino y que me ha ayudado en lo personal.

No le tengas miedo a las matemáticas. Mucha gente les huye pero tienen un gran impacto en tu comprensión del mundo. A mucha gente les parecen difíciles pero regularmente es por que tenemos algunos huecos en nuestra educación. Tipicamente lo que sucede es que el día que explicaron integrales te volteaste a ver a la guerita que se sienta al lado y cuando regresaste tu atención al pizarrón ya no entendías nada. Esos huecos se van haciendo mas grandes por que los conceptos se construyen unos arriba de otros. Ahorita es el momento de cerrar esos huecos, hacer eso te va a poner por encima de la mayoría de los profesionistas.

A lo que yo respondi, que ese debate no existe, el tipo de sangre no determina que dieta debas de tomar, o si puedas ser vegano o vegetariano, si alguien quiere ser vegano, adelante, solamente que tome los suplementos alimenticios necesarios y ya. Ahora bien, depende del organismo es diferente a "depende del tipo de sangre",supongo que habra ciertas características genéticas que hagan que un tipo de dieta sea mejor para una persona que para otra, aunque no lo se de cierto, ese no es mi ramo.

Si lo dice un libro, debe de ser cierto, investigaré.
