Kuru Togas are the shit! I use this one sadly they dont sell these metal ones in the US and you have to get them imported from Japan but they feel really nice and the Gunmetal Gray color looks super nice.

Amazon sometimes still recommends that I buy one of these 4" wire hose clamps because back in 2003 I ordered one for 79¢ to get me above the threshold for free shipping of a Logitech mouse. That was back in 2003. The mouse still works.

I use a pencil that rotates the tip as it writes so that you get a conical shape at the tip of the lead. It helps prevent breaking. The most common cause for lead breaking I think is when you use just one side so it becomes a triangle wedge and when you spin it around to even it out it breaks. See Amazon link here. Keep in mind I've been able to find some at local stores for about $5 per pencil. I also don't lose mine, so that justifies the higher price imo.

Not sure how to notify like everyone in this whole comment thread, but if anyone is at all interested by the questions here please read this:

Convenience, backup in case the first one gets lost or stops working at an inopportune time, additional features like rounded corners and smaller size or built in battery and more ports, being a hero for that friend who only has one charger but somehow never has it with them.

Get some asshole parking tickets.
Amazon sells them. Here are the ones I hand out:

Nope... inside smoking:

http://www.amazon.com/Stovetop-Smoker-Original-Camerons-Stainless/dp/B00004SZ9D/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1408223268&sr=8-1&keywords=cameron+stove+top+smoker

I have one similar to this, don't know the exact size difference, but I can get 20 or so wings in there. Takes 20-30 minutes or so and if you prep correctly, it's almost no clean up.

That last sentence is something I can agree with you halfway. If you're going to nationalize healthcare . . . do better than Canada. Lots of places do worse, sadly.

Anyway my go-to recommendation for back pain is the Egoscue Method, spelled out in Pain Free https://www.amazon.com/Pain-Free-Revolutionary-Stopping-Chronic/dp/0553379887

It has helped me as well as several people I "lent" out copies of the book. It won't help everybody but it's definitely worth a try before going under for back surgery!

I think the guy in the blue shirt holding the orange book is reading "The Subtle Art Of Not Giving A Fuck". And if that's correct then I think this post is even funnier.

Not 100% sure but I'm currently reading it and the orange cover with black text makes me think it is. https://www.amazon.com/Subtle-Art-Not-Giving-Counterintuitive/dp/0062457713

It's not that bad actually. The article examines the Royal family's finger sizes through the lense of the research conducted by a biologist, who claims that finger length is determined by hormone exposure in-womb. The hormones that determine finger size also play a huge role in the kind of personality a person develops.

It's for sure a slow news day piece, but the Daily Mail has done far worse.

We use these for cooking in our home. They're fucking incredible. They have many different types of measurements going all the way around, and a lid/seal for shaking things once they've been measured.

Lots of these are very similar to the work of Jacques Carelman, who wrote a book called The Catalogue of Fantastic Inventions:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/0312123639/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_PIcSzbT60PR3D

His "masochistists teapot" was featured on the cover of Don Norman's (excellent) usability and user interface design book, the design of everyday things.

Get a garlic press

Put the unpeeled clove in and just press. The pressure bursts the paper 'skin' and the garlic comes out crushed and ready to use. Takes seconds.
