Redbones in Somerville is pretty good. Sweet Cheeks by Fenway is alright but their sauces and sides are off. I'm from Georgia where I was spoiled with good BBQ joints, so I tend to avoid them here as I know I'm picky. I have one of these guys to smoke meat in my apartment, its pretty awesome.
I haven't read it, but I know the author of this is fantastic (he wrote most of this website.)
