Not much is taken from the novels - particularly from the Destiny trilogy onwards - but some elements are used to fill in some blanks (the Andorians having four sexes for example). If some Enterprise-era stuff makes it ingame, I'd like to see the events of The Good That Men Do respected. I don't know enough about the other series' books to really judge whether or not I'd like to see them included (though I've heard good things about the DS9 relaunch).

> The same way that buying a lotto ticket this week doesn't increase my odds of winning next weeks draw if I don't win.

no, but buying multiple tickets this week increses your chance to win this week

> You would be correct if you could use multiple keys on one box to increase your odds of getting a ship, but thats not how it work.

yes, i am also correct if i can use multiple keys on multiple boxes

> You only get to buy 1 ticket to this weeks lotto, one for next weeks etc etc

not really, you can buy as many tickets as you can afford

i suggest https://www.amazon.com/Probability-Dummies-Deborah-J-Rumsey/dp/0471751413/ unless you want to make fool out of yourself some more...

Andrew Robinson loved playing Garak so much, he wrote a novel to give the character more backstory. I'm sure they could get him if they wanted to. He could probably give them some story advice, too.

(This) should do the trick, it seems to sound like it's all original Barry Gray.

While it would be nice if the did, they don't have to. There's a CD you can buy, called, "This One's From The Heart," that has most of the DS9 songs, as sung by James Darren. All they need to do is get the rights to the album to make that work.

If you're interest in the characters, you should check out the book series.

I recently picked this up.

For laptopping under your budget, it's able to run GTA in high/very high settings and STO maxed out.

Scot also mentioned wanting to get his hands on an Eaglemoss book which more than likely is Star Trek: The U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 Illustrated Handbook for drawings of the DSC versions of the ship's interior. This Trek Collective article has the entire DSC chapter, including a drawing of the bridge. I'm probably wrong, but this probably the first official Fact File-style images since the Fact Files stopped years ago.

The comics actually did a Khan series that takes place before Into Darkness, and gives a pretty decent explanation for why Khan looks different. In a nutshell, after the Nero incident, they decided to be more pro-active and look for threats before they showed up at Earth. While out scouting, they found the Botany Bay, and realized they had found Khan and crew. Marcus wanted to use Khan as a weapon against the Klingons, but knew he would be too dangerous unless they had some kind of control over him. So they decided to wipe his memory and surgically alter his appearance so he wouldnt recognize himself and remember who he was. It worked for a while and he worked as an undercover agent carrying out all kind of operations that a normal human couldnt, but eventually his memory came back and he wanted revenge. Of course all of that wasnt explained in the movie, so I understand not liking what we saw. But the story as explained in the comics is much better.

The full story is here if anyone is interested:

That was, if memory serves, part of what led to Galactica.

That said, they've started releasing battle damaged merch over the past few years:

If you modeled the damage to be "inspired by" the damage of specific battles, you might have a case. It might be tricky the way the game uses hulls.
