I stopped wearing my glasses, they are plaatic frames as well. They went past my ears and at the sightest lowering of my head they would slide to the end of my nose. Bought these(7$) and also some nose grips(on amazon 10$), glasses fit great, makes me want to wear them again. Hope this helps.
You can get silicon grips that slide on to the legs of the glasses. I got these and they dont' slip even with lots of sweat.
