Glasses wearers! I've been arguing with myself for a while now to wear my glasses when I go out running. I see double without mine, so wearing them all the time is preferable. However, sweat makes them shimmy down my face, which distracts and annoys me, and makes it difficult to breathe through my nose.

I bought these silicone temple grips. Oh my goodness, my first run with them was amazing. My glasses didn't budge. I forgot I was wearing them other than when they fogged up.

I just got a shipment of a couple of different anti-foggers to try out, too. Hopefully next week I'll have a solid recommendation for you guys in that regard.

My glasses used to do this all the time. A surgery resident I was working with introduced me to these and I've never looked back: Silicone Anti-Slip Holder for Glasses.

If you get these https://www.amazon.com/GMS-Optical-Comfortable-Silicone-Anti-slip/dp/B00DUWLI8S they will help prevent your glasses from slipping down your face and are hidden behind your ears so they aren't even noticeable

They have clear things that go over the arms and keep them up. I haven't tried them yet but a guy at work has then and raves about them. They are like 5 bucks on Amazon these things

I've tried a lot of techniques for keeping my regular glasses from sliding down. (They're just a bad fit, no matter how many times I've gotten them readjusted at the store, and I have an oily nose which helps nothing.) Adhesive nosepads have worked the best for me - something like this. I don't love them because you can see a little sliver of nosepad if you look closely while I'm wearing them, and I need to replace them every 2-4 weeks, but they're the only thing that has made my glasses tolerable until I can get a new pair.

GLASSES TEMPLE HOOKS! I have them on my glasses and they never fall off!

best $5 purchase of my entire life

Nobody’s ever noticed me wearing them, unless I take them off

u/ehsu · 2 pointsr/malefashionadvice

As you can imagine, the issue is related to where the bridge of your nose sits relative to your cheeks. According to this, Oakley's Asian Fit glasses have narrower bridges and larger nose pads. Something like this might have a similar effect.

As someone who used to work in optics the best thing to do is to go to your opticians and ask for them to be adjusted, this will stop them slipping.

If you put them on your head when you are not using them then don't! this spreads the sides apart meaning that they wont fit snug to your head and will slip.

Another thing try and make sure you take them off with two hands and pull forward, when taking off with one hand it tends to again bend one side out.

Also you can get these, they work very well:

I hope this helps a little :)

You could try these pads

>I have an oily nose so my glasses always slide down and it's so annoying

As a female, I have this same problem! I switched to contacts when I grew my hair out...but I miss the whole "librarian" vibe. :(

As for the plastic frames, bad choice. They slide really badly. I switched to metal ones with the little rubber nose pieces. BUT they thankfully make things like this to prevent them from sliding! So the glasses aisle if your oyster! :D

Or, if you're a bit more vain...

They're kind of awesome.

Unfortunately no magic hack just yet. Some people suggest setting the bridge of the nose with lots of powder, or using an eye primer, or just skipping foundation on that spot. As someone who wears glasses every day I've tried them all and it's just something you have to live with 🤷🏽‍♀️

I bought these off amazon to keep them from slipping down my nose and while it did reduce transfer, they can get quite uncomfortable after some time :/

A tiny self-tapping screw from an eyeglass repair kit?

This one seems to have some. Plus you'd get enough other tiny screws to repair glasses for years.

Kind of like this.

I stopped wearing my glasses, they are plaatic frames as well. They went past my ears and at the sightest lowering of my head they would slide to the end of my nose. Bought these(7$) and also some nose grips(on amazon 10$), glasses fit great, makes me want to wear them again. Hope this helps.

Update - I ended up buying these from Amazon and they work great. Problem solved!

Can't speak for your skincare routine, but I have the same glasses problem. Only thing that worked was stick-on pads, which may undesirabley (sp?) change the fit.

Other than that, I carry tissues and blot, blot, blot. Lens cloths to wipe the frame to remove oils, too.

Edit: did a simple search and these guys are only 1mm thick. You might find better options if you dig a bit more.

Hi I can't read read anything that's not inches from my face; the only part of my arm that isn't blurry is my shoulder lol. You're at a disadvantage at the higher level of sparring because you likely won't be able to catch small details like hip movement, foot angles, etc as fast as others. That being said... I do wear my glasses while I spar but it's def a risk of them breaking, or scratching my face, although I haven't really run into that problem yet. I only do light head shots with them on because due to those potential risks, and partners never have a problem. I don't really compete because well I can't tell someone is kicking me until they're about half way through chamber. I have an irrational fear of putting contacts into my eyes, but those would be a life changer if you can get them. If you can get those special goggles those will likely work out well for you during sparring in class, but they are likely illegal in competition. Once my eyesight plateuas I'll be getting PRK surgery.

For kicks and stuff during drills and doing board breaking I'd recommend getting stuff like [this](

u/Kep0a · 1 pointr/malefashionadvice

I feel you. I'm surprised there aren't more options for some sort of clip on nose pads for classes without them. I don't wear glasses but these or these might help if you end up getting a pair without pads?

also some of the pairs they have do have the pads

the raybans you linked look good though, very popular look now

u/smitemight · 0 pointsr/glasses

Get bigger nose pads or one of these.
