I find that these things really help. (Link below). They're soft foam discs that fit just around and inside the thumbsticks. So essentially a tiny shock absorber for the joystick. I recommend the orange ones I linked, they are the best reviewed. Although I think they've become more popular as it was only $12 american for a 4 pack when I got them and they're like $30 something now, I think there's even knockoffs for sale now.
They seem stupid I know. But they actually work very well. They compress almost completely so you don't lose any range of motion but firm up the joystick enough that I feel comfortable bumping my sensitivity up 2 to 3 from where I would have it; without a loss in accuracy.
Also you might try changing up the style of thumb grips or Kontrolfreeks you use. I like the Vortex Kontrolfreeks. A short concave one on the left stick and a tall convex one on the right with one of the discs on the right. People like different styles of height and shape. Maybe another one will do you better. TL:DR; they physically decrease the sensitivity so you can digitally turn it up giving the same or better accuracy with a faster turning speed.
