This'll do. Acer Aspire. Just do the usual PC Decrapifier sweep and you're good to go.

Edit: Protip: At this price range any laptop you buy is going to be the exact same Celeron/500gb HDD w/ 4gb RAM setup with basically no variation. Probably all made on the same assembly line.

i have this shitty pc . i put everything on low , turn off anti alliancing , turn off v sync and run a program called razor cortex which diables all other things using ram so it could focus on the game

You're definitely not going to find a $200 laptop that can run ARMA 2 any time soon. Hell even $1000 laptops struggle to play ARMA.

Here's a $250 Acer laptop that I can BARELY recommend. The Intel Celeron is a really slow processor and the graphics are horrible but it fits your budget. It will probably run CSS and HL2 but not the new Counter Strike Global Offensive. Please save up your money and buy a decent laptop instead of this $250 laptop that will just disappoint you.

A chromebook would not work for you if you need iTunes. What is your budget?

This Acer Aspire is just $50 above the $200 Chromebook. It is a fully compatible Windows 8.1 laptop. I happen to own this laptop and it is perfect for basic use that you stated. It has:

  • Celeron N2830 2.4 GHz Turbo (1MB Cache)
  • 4GB of RAM
  • 500GB HDD

Very basic specs but good for what you need it for.

For $50 more, you get this. Celeron processor, but 15.6" screen, 500GB storage, 4GB RAM. I'd say Ubuntu would fly on it.

Vanilla Minecraft with low settings should be fine on this $270 Acer Aspire ES1-511-C59V

Stats from Amazon:

  • 15.6" Screen

  • Intel Celeron N2830 2.16 GHz Processor

  • Integrated Intel HD Graphics

  • 4 GB DDR3L SDRAM

  • 500 GB 5400 rpm Hard Drive

  • Windows 8.1

  • 4.5 hr battery

This is all I could find that would fit the price, screen size, and OS requirements. Battery life and weight had to be sacrificed, this has 4.5hrs listed and is 5.3lbs.

If you're looking to play Minecraft on the laptop you will need a windows pc.

Here are two extremely inexpensive options both at $250. They are almost exactly the same, but have a few key differences.

Both have 15.6" 1366x768 screens, Intel Celeron N2830 processors, HDMI ports, and 500 GB hard drives.

Dell Inspiron:

Has excellent 6.5 hour battery life.

Weighs only 4.7 pounds.

Has no USB 3.0 slot.

Acer Aspire:

Has two USB 2.0 ports and one USB 3.0.

Excellent build quality.

Has lesser, but still very good, 4.5 hour battery life.

Weighs 5.3 pounds.

Conclusion:

Unless you search through used laptops or deal websites you're going to find a bunch of laptops that are almost identical at your price point. If you're willing to give up minecraft you can take a look at chromebooks which will lose functionality, but gain battery life and portability. You might even be able to find a chromebook for under $200. Either way you can't really go wrong.

But I mean I can get this poor-specs laptop for $300. I highly doubt a BETTER desktop could be built for under $300, including everything the laptop has such as windows 8, keyboard, etc.

Truthfully, I'm poor as hell and just want to buy as cheap as a laptop as possible.

Will something like this (http://www.amazon.com/Acer-Aspire-ES1-511-C59V-15-6-Inch-Diamond/dp/B00K2O4TI8) or this (http://www.amazon.com/Dell-Inspiron-i3531-1200BK-15-6-Inch-Laptop/dp/B00KMRGF28/ref=psdc1_t1_B00K2O4TI8_B00KMRGF28) suit my needs?
