A Very quick google search returned the following page:
How to Unbrick a GS2

And then another quick search returned the following:

USB Download mode Dongle, $1

Another one, $2

I would do research and verify this works for you before you buy anything though! You may also be able to find a low-cost GS2 while waiting for parts from Amazon.

Yes, it should, the SGS is extremely hard to "actually" brick.

Invest in one of these. Make one yourself or get one fast and easy for $5 on Amazon.

Pull the battery. Pop back in. With out turning it on, place the USB Jig into it and it should load into Download mode.

It takes 2 seconds for it to load into it. You may see the Download mode, you may see this as the screen, you may see NOTHING. It could still be in download mode even if it shows nothing.

Now take out the jig and plug the phone into the computer with the stock Odin flasher already open (started as an Admin (Run as Administrator))

Flash it, should work fine.

If you have any soldering experience, you can make your own jig (assuming you have a spare micro-USB cable lying around). I made my own and it works just fine with the SGS II. Alternatively, you can just buy one for for ~$7 on Amazon.com if your soldering is shabby.

They are useful to have in case you need to force your phone into download mode; also, it wipes the flash counter so if you need to return/warranty your phone, they would have no proof you've flashed your device.
