I assume you're talking about the new 4th-gen cases for the non-keyboard models. The non-lighted cover was "Temporarily out of stock" for a while, and now it seems to be back:

The asking price of $40 seems pretty absurd, but you can get like-new used ones through the amazon marketplace for $10-$15. I got one that way and I'm perfectly happy with it.

Do you mean this one? The have that at Dick Smith as well.

I think its best to get a good case to protect my Kindle and I do really like leather.
