It's the basic stock "official" Nintendo switch case and it is very nice.

I ended up preferring the Amazon Basics version as it was slightly smaller and the handle on the official one annoyed me.

It is great in handheld and table top mode. I use it all the time on plane trips with no internet access.

I have this case to store it and it doubles as a stand. I cut the straps as they were a pain.

As others have mentioned the suspend when going to the home screen is a nice feature.

I ordered this case for a flight to Japan and the cartridge holder folds up to support the screen upright. Worked perfectly on the tray table.

For me a case has been necessary. With the amount of traveling my wife and I have done it is convenient way to keep games, extra joycons, and USB-C charging cable all together. While I don't have this case, I like the design of the Amazon basics case a lot. Amazon basics case

I'd recommend getting a case similar to this as well as a tempered glass screen protector (this is a good one). That should be enough to keep your Switch safe as long as you aren't dropping it or throwing it around, and you can put it in the case when you're taking it around with you.

Hey, I'm looking for a good Nintendo Switch case. I was looking at the official one, but its double its MSRP rn, so that ain't an option. Anyway, I was looking at the AmazonBasics one and anyone that has it 1. Is it good? and 2. Is it flexible at all? All hard? and 3. How durable?

Hey, the ButterFox case is pretty great. But if you want something cheaper I would highly recommend the AmazonBasics case for $10.


Also the AmFilm tempered glass protector is the best and real easy to apply.

Recommended or not? Its quite cheap and seems to fulfill my needs, but I don't want to buy twice. I mainly want it for transport from A to B, not necessarily to play in it.

Hey jerburt, I have a Switch travel case I could trade you for Crash if you're interested. I don't have pictures of it on Imgur 'cause I haven't been trying to trade it, but it's kind of like this one but with more of a cloth-ish exterior and it isn't made by Amazon.
