Not all meds work with all dogs. They did nothing for my reactive boy. I would talk to your vet and see if a dose or drug change is recommended.

Nose Work. Life changing for my boy. The class is designed for reactive dogs. Or you can easily do it at home. It helped my extremely fearful dogs. One has fight, the other flight. The both benefited from Nose Work and it can be done anywhere.

Don't do board and train. Half the point of training is building a working relationship with your dog. Plus it will uproot your already fearful dog and put him in another new situation. I wouldn't be surprised if it made him worse. I know someone who runs one and to get the dog to perform quickly there are times she uses an e-collar or other adverse methods. She will never admit to this. That would fully ruin my boy. There are no short cuts when helping a fearful dog.

Find a harness that is clipped to the collar so he can't pull out of either. Muzzle train him. Put an x-pen around your door so he can't escape. They can be set up as a pen or used as an indoor "fence." There is something between my dog and the door at all times.

This isn't a training issue, it's a behavior one. Find a quality behaviorist who will work with you and give you advice. Not just a script.

Remove as much stress from his life as possible. I walked my boy at off peak times. I stopped trying to make him like a "normal" dog. Once my expectations changed it got much easier.
