i have an iphone 7 and i used the 0.45x wide lens. i dont actually know anything about lenses and cameras, but thats the lens i grabbed.

I use that with this 10x macro lens attachment for a dslr. My buddy gave me it years back and I just found it. Made by Opteka, I then just hold it over my clip on macro lens and apply a little pressure. Makes it very hard to stay stable. This was just a test to see if it would work.
I just ordered a step up ring from 37mm to 58mm to make my life easier since it was some decent fun.
