I'm kind of ashamed to admit this.....but a shop vac. I keep a little one right by the door, vacuum myself with the small brush nozzle, and then head out the door.

The included brush with the Mark III wears out quickly. Buy these at Home Depot and cut them in half. I use one for the solution, another for water.

This cleaning works fantastic for 99%of my records. I can clean a record in 3 minutes. For dirtier records I let them sit in the solution for 5-10 minutes. Stubborn dirt is spot treated with a soft toothbrush.

It's hands down one of my favorite purchases for my piggies. It's under $40. It's not too loud (quieter than my upright) and it fits in the cubbies under my C&C cage.

I leave it plugged into that bay and use it twice a day to clean all the poop and any stray hay or Carefresh type shavings that end up on the fleece. The filter is washable (I wash it and clean out the whole thing about once a week) and it is contained enough that it doesn't smell when not in use. The air exhaust will smell a little bad when you're using it (if there is poop in the canister) but I fixed that by throwing a couple of dryer sheets into it.

After I use it on the fleece I go over the area around my cage and pick up anything there too. The brush attachment is great for stubborn shavings that are such a pain to get out of the fleece with a regular dustpan setup.

I use one of the long rigid hose attachments from my upright in order to reach the back of the cage, I have a two level cage and it's impossible to reach back there without some kind of assistance.

Go get one! Go! Seriously, it cut down what took me like 10-15 minutes to do (and not terribly successfully) into a quick 3 minute task that cleans up absolutely everything.

EDIT: I know it's marketed for cars, but they really should start marketing it toward small pet owners too!

have you thought of using a wet/dry shop vac to suck out the hot water once you sprayed it on?

I have a 2hp armor all vacuum that can blow out and suck, I use it to dry my car and it works just right with vacuuming!

I have the dyson v6 animal. It's pricey, but I got it as a Christmas present.

Pros: it picks up hair better than anything else I've ever used! It comes with tons of attachments. Super light weight and it's cordless! I don't have to worry about the buns eating it.

Cons: it's expensive. The canister fills up quickly and you have to empty it a lot. The brush head clogs easily if you're cleaning up messes with big pieces, or if your bun has larger poops, like bigger than coco puffs poops.

Over all, it's super convenient and that's what I needed. I use it every day and I love it, dispite having to clean out the canister and brush head a lot. For me and my 3 rabbits, who have free range of a 20ft x 20ft carpeted room, it is worth the investment.

A good car vacuum and Tesla All Weather Floor Mats would be good. You can use kick mats to help protect the back of your seats from being kicked. Microfiber towels and window cleaner would be good to have to wipe all the tiny fingerprints off the window too. Good luck!

You could try a mini-shop vac. I have one by Armor All that is about $35, is 2HP, has wet/dry filters, can vacuum and blow air out, and has detail attachments that can funnel the airflow to increase pressure. I haven't used it as a replacement for compressed air but it might work, and has the bonus that it's also a shop vac.

The cyclone separates the bulk of the dust/debris and drops it into the bucket below so it doesn't wind up in your shop vac, which extends longevity of the vac as well as makes the time between emptying much longer since it's now the size of hte bucket not the tiny little vacuum.

Of course you could always make the blower yourself too but it'll be hard to beat a shop vac in price efficiency.

the buckethead is a great contraption, but it doesn't come with any sort of attachment...just a hose.

i think this Armor All vacuum is what i'll get. it's about $15 more but i get bunch of attachments and won't have to switch out my 5gal bucket.

Cheap Shop Vac on reverse is what I've always used (as I don't have an air compressor).

As someone else mentioned, hold the fans with your finger so you don't spin them up with the air.

Armor All ShopVac I use this professionally. Works great. $40.

You don't need the extra brush or wand and they don't break. I like it because I have one for cleaning cycles and one for rinse cycles. I use a strong enzyme + surfactant cleaner and I like to keep things separate to avoid cross contamination because I'm picky. Not necessary, but worth getting IMHO. He can make them in different colors so you don't get them mixed up, that's what I did.

You could also get something else, search around maybe. The 2HP is more than enough suction. You will have to open the air release on the wand a little to get it where you want without the wand sticking to the record. Pretty easy to dial in. Vac is also a hell of a lot easier to empty out and make sure mold isn't' growing than most self-contained RCMs.
