Efficiency! Here's my favorite example of engineering-gone-wrong. This thing is for winding watches that wind themselves.

I bought this one and have been happy. It's got a few different time settings and directional settings. I found some settings wouldn't wind the watch enough, but now have found the ideal setting. I do have 2 automatic watches so it works well, but I'd still get a double at this price range even if you only have 1.

The Time Tutelary is cheap and cheerful. Above that you can pay almost anything you want, but you'll get more or less the same winder inside.
