Get a cheap trench coat, and then go to home depot and get a length of ball chain (this stuff https://www.amazon.com/Ball-Chain-Spool-Aluminum-Feet/dp/B005FM92HK) and sew it to the inside of your hems. It's what Chanel jackets have to make them hang/move better, and if you make little loops often it makes no noise.
Then replace the buttons. Anything plastic has to go. Likely the buckle on the trench must go, other than that all belts that come with clothing should be considered a cruel joke and discarded immediately.
You can make a $5 thrift-ed trench coat look and move like a $500 coat with those two steps.
I have hot pink trench coat that I love that I need to do this to, for the black skinny jeans/simple blouse/color pop coat combo. It is from Lane Bryant, though, and it's got cheap shitty buttons and hangs like hell but with half an hour and a minor amount of work, it'll look like a million bucks.
