So it came out at about 2400MiB/s, on the 2m cable Belkin cable ...and if thats normal and as good as its gets...then probably no reason to dig out the shorter cable an try if there is a difference.

I mean, I understand the TB3 cable requirements, but why did you spend $100 on a cable that's only going to live on your desk? There are much cheaper compatible options. Hell, even the overpriced-af, name brand Belkin version was only 80 at full price retail, and only 70 now.
