Turns out they are just Bluetooth keyboard, so I have it connected to my raspberry pi which then talks to hass.

21' might be too far for this. If your iPhone has a headphone jack you might be able to use a wired shutter release and a long headphone extender. I don't know if camera can be triggered with the lightning headphone adapter but that might be an option too.
