Thanks! I’m using a Bestva 2000 watt LED and General Hydroponics Flora series nutrients, and aerating each bucket. I’ve kept the PH around 6.0, and ppm is currently around 1800 or so (this should probably be higher?). I’ve literally just been following the recommended feed schedule on the back of the bottles. Other than topping up as needed, I’ve only completely changed out the nutrient solution once, which was about one week ago - kind of careless according to recommendations, but I’ve run into no problems so far. This is my first go at hydroponics, so I’m just going with semi-educated guesses and learning as I go.

What are you doing for lighting? Using air stones?

Sure! It’s only $215. My buddy used it by itself in a 4x4 for his first grow ever and put out like ~14oz.

FYI Ive only ever used HPS/MH so this is my first use of LED (2nd with CMH). It’s been working great combined with the CMH so far and temps have been around 67-74 consistently.

when I bought it 7 months ago it was on sale for 170$ researched quite a bit into it and it seemed to be the best fit for a led with good output, its definitely something I would buy again

Actual is 390 watts if its this one.

Personally, I would't use that light to cover more than 6 square feet but you could get away with 8.

Read the beginners guide located on the sidebar. This is information that you should have known before purchasing a light.

It's a nice list but not exactly budget friendly. But you're right it's all good to buy and build up. My lights and soil are my issues for my next grow. I'm going with a pair of these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MT2SGER/?coliid=I8PSCT3OX15KK&colid=1UKQMBAQON5HA&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it because I've got two 24 X 48 X 60 tents I want to work in. Sure they won't give me the MONSTER harvest I want but they'll do the job until I can upgrade.

Since I make my own nutes I'm not too fussed about them and they seem to be doing the job adequately.

My big issue is I'd like to get a bag of AFFORDABLE soil that's pretty much all in one bag. That said my mom is a huge gardener and she's got TONS of composted soil I need to go check the PH on. Earthworms already built in LOL. Her tomatoes seem to love it so I may just grab a bag of it and mix with perlite and cocoa when I get through this bag of https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008JSMNGE/?coliid=IO001MIYEWW3U&colid=1UKQMBAQON5HA&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it

Sorry forgot to add those.

Lights: Full Spectrum

Nutes: General Hydroponics Flora Grow, Bloom, Micro Combo Fertilizer set

Grow Tent: Grow Tent 96x96x80

Also using Mother Earth Coco+Perlite

It’s this. Draws 390w

Is this overkill?

One worked great for veg in my 5x5 but I could tell that I had too much canopy for flowering with just the one. Very happy with the outcome so far that one of these has produced.
