I got this one for use with my HD558s. I'm then running a 30 ft long headphone extension (15ft from computer to link box, 15 ft for Vive cable) back to a Behringer headphone amp and then a DAC. I also have other 15 ft extensions (DisplayPort, USB, power) from the link box back to my PC.
The end result? 30 ft of Vive leash, headphone cable is cable-wrapped back to a proper headphone amp and DAC. No plugging/unplugging, and good sound quality to boot.
Granted, take everything I just said above with the understanding that I don't have a Vive yet, and it might work great...or not!
Are you using the more expensive Dual-Link DVI adapter? Because the Ben-Q website says you need DVI-DL (dual-link) or DisplayPort to get 144 hz.
Personally I'd just go with one of these: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00C7RM2TG - much cheaper, simpler and slimmer.
You Mac Pro has Thunderbolt. It's best to use DisplayPort.
This cable will do
Things to do while your waiting.

Keep in mind, you'll want at least a foot around your playspace with no obstructions. It really breaks the immersion when you reach out and hit the wall!

If the 15 foot cables that come with it are not going to be enough, start planning for your extension now.
You'll need an additional USB extender cable, and an additional HDMI or Display Port to Mini Display Port cable of the same length to extend the vive connection from your PC to your breakout box.
This is how I successfully extended my vive 15 feet.

Play space (9 Packs of these work out to 9.6 X 13.6 , pretty darn close to the perfect max playspace for the vive):

Good luck, and be prepared ... because you wont want o be missing out for any longer than you already have :)
I've tried this one and it didn't do 4K@60hz at all. It got to close to 2048x1536 and then it would crap out. If I was lucky it would do 2560 x 1600.
I think some of those "4K" adapters can barely call themselves 4K (both of the above listed resolutions are "4k x 2k" according to my graphics card)
I used this cable and it worked just fine. You may not need as long of a cable. I was trying to extend the range of my vive from the bedroom to the next room so I went for 15' extensions where possible.
I was in your shoes but opted for a mini displayport to displayport cable instead. The Vive's link box has a mini displayport on it.
I use a 15 foot extension for both my USB 3.0 and display port with no issues.

Wow I posted about this at the same time as you.

I am confused how this cable works. It claims to supports 2560x1440 @ 60hz, while the Vive pro is 2440x1600 @ 90hz. This one claims to support 4K: https://www.amazon.com/Monoprice-Select-DisplayPort-Capable-115887/dp/B01KYD101U
Also, the Vive website said the Vive Pro is USB-C 3.0, but the pictures I see show it just as normal USB?
For a displayport this is the longest. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00C7RM2TG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_2ZPZAbPB8108W
For usb just buy an active male to female adapter.
This cable is working just fine for me and it's 15 feet.
