First step would be cleaning the pots with this stuff:

I would recommend taking it in to a skilled tech as removing the chassis to work on a tube amp is dangerous stuff if you don't know exactly what you're doing. Plenty of voltage strong enough to kill in that bad boy. Not saying it's definitely only dirty pots, but it would be worthwhile to try this first and go from there.

Indeed..I think so too...

Was doing some research and came across this thread where someone said:

> For crackly pots, sliders or sticky buttons, Caig DeOxIt is magic in a can. It's saved me replacing things that I thought were gone for good. You may need to apply more than once, so don't give up.

I read through some of the reviews on DeoxitLiquid, DeoxIT Fader Lube, and DeoxIT D5 and it seems like they'd help with my problem. While it doesn't crackle, there's definitely some corrosion and dirty contacts. Thanks for the direction..

Is this the thing you're talking about: DeoxIT® DN5 Mini-Spray, nonflammable 5% solution 14 g https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000RGD9PK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_9LuhzbHEPA02V

And just to be clear, I switch off the machine, spray this thing on the volume control stick thing and slowly turn it around, let it dry then switch the machine back on? Sorry I'm not a very handy person.
