Edit: Wups, sorry looks like it wasn't an exclusve. Amazon has this version as well. They just aren't calling it a Game of the Year edition

Black Ops II is the best recent one, I think that'd be the wisest choice. It's $20 on Amazon right now with the first map pack, pretty good price.
My favorite CoD is still Call of Duty 4, followed by World at War but those are completely dead on consoles. CoD4 is still fairly strong on PC though.
Modern Warfare 3 and Ghosts are the worst in the series.
Are there any other recommendations you're looking for outside of shooters? As far as other games go I'd look into:
