I prefer this USB-C female to Micro USB male adapter for its keyring loop hole, which lets me lash the adapter to my USB-C cable.
That way, a.) I don't lose the thing (it is really small) and b.) the adapter hangs off of the end of my cable so I can easily pop it on or off as needed.

You can get adapters with small rubber lanyards to put on the end of your micro cable, then anytime you have a C port, use the adpater, without it, use the cable as normal. There are easy solutions, but nothing elegant or really that convenient.

I HIGHLY recommend buying one of these. I have a few of the micro USB cable ones and they’re great. They all fit on my keychain and I can charge anything I need with a single cable.

Depends on your phone's charging technology. I'll guess it uses Power Delivery (PD). For my Google Pixel (uses PD), Inreach (micro USB) and NU25 (micro USB) headlamp I use this battery pack, this wall charger, my Pixel's USB C to USB C cable and this USB C to micro USB adapter.
