Just a quick look and I found 3 keyboards on Amazon.

  1. Steel Series 6GV2
  2. Corsair K90
  3. CoolMaster CM Storm XT

Some of them are slightly over $100 CDN. I personally use a Das keyboard with blue switches but they go for about 130 CDN but its definitely worth thinking about!

For which switch to get, you can watch youtube videos for sound to get a general idea. As for the feel of the switch, your preference will come down to what you like. You can usually find people who love a particular switch because it works for them so try to research as best you can just remember no switch color is the 'best'. You can go here and look at them in the chart or click on an individual one to research a little. The cN number is the spring pressure of the switch, so the lower the number the lighter the key press will be.

    Hope this helps a little!

In terms of mice, I would recommend either the Razer Naga Hex for six side buttons, or the Logitech G600 if you like the idea of 12 side buttons better. Some people might advise looking into the the regular Razer Naga which has 12 side buttons as well, however because of the grooved button design of the G600, the G600 is typically regarded as a lot better from those who have tried both mice, as it has more buttons overall and is a lot easier to develop muscle memory with.

Also, I know you were only asking about gaming mice, but I would also point you in the direction of taking a look at some other stuff like the Razer Nostromo keypad, which has gotten a lot of praise from people in this subreddit alone who have used them for GW2.

Or better yet, you could also look into getting a mechanical keyboard. I just got my first one a few days ago, and I absolutely love it-- it feels so, so much better than standard membrane keyboards. The particular model I bought was the CM Storm Trigger, which as you can see, has five additional keys on the far left side which you can use as macros or simply remap them to in-game functions. If something like the CM Storm is too pricey for you, you can look into something like the Razer BlackWidow or the Razer BlackWidow Stealth Edition (I recommend that one more for gaming because of the switches it uses), which also have five macro keys and is priced similarly to that of a gaming mouse. The only issue with BlackWidows is that build quality is a bit poor and sometimes downright defective out of the box, so it's a bit of a luck-of-the-draw situation. If you're wanting something with even more extra keys than that, you can also take a look at the Corsair Vengeance K90 which features 18 extra customizable keys, the downside being that not all of the keys on that keyboard are mechanical.

Sorry for the long reply, but I've been heavily researching all these various peripherals in recent months when I was in the market for a new gaming mouse and keyboard, so those were some of the products I've came across and have learned about. If you have any questions, feel free to ask and I'll answer if I can.

The Corsair K90 has macro keys and Cherry Reds which are probably the quietest mech keys. Combine with some O-rings and it can be pretty quiet.

I say pretty quiet because you'll still have noise if you constantly bottom out the keys. However if you get good you don't need to bottom out the keys and it'll be silent. Or get Browns for the tactile bump to know when the key is actuated.

It would be easier to suggest a certain keyboard/mouse if i knew the games you play most, but all around good bang for your buck in my opinion would be the Corsair K90 keyboard Combo with the Corsair M60 mouse. These have some crazy quality to overall build of them. Total: around $160

No problem! :D

I have a K90 that I love and would not use any other keyboard so the stickers are great for me and pretty cheap. I tried looking up Russian keyboards to maybe get the Russian characters to be backlit, but there aren't really any worth switching to if you already use a good keyboard. The stickers really aren't bad at all. The keys feel a little bit smoother but that's all. Nothing significant changes and I still type the same speed as before. I would say that the best way isn't to memorize it until you know how to speak Russian first. Little things like memorizing the keyboard can come later, I feel that having to do that would just bog you down.

Anyways, have fun learning Russian. Hit me up if you have any more questions!

Your best bet is the corsair K90. It has back-light, 18 macro keys, USB port, dedicated media keys, and a wrist rest. It also has Cherry MX Reds, which are considered to be a "gaming" switch.

What keyboard do you use?

I'm thinking if I go mechanical I may get this one:

Thanks!

I had tried to figure it out by counting the keys (122 of them) and getting creative with Google searches. I actually got pretty close with the conclusion that it was the *Corsair Vengeance K9**0**. I was then hugely disappointed when I first found it [listed on Amazon for $399](http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-Performance-Mechanical-CH-9000003-NA/dp/B005QUQP94)... which I later figured out is more than 3x [the $129 MSRP***](http://www.corsair.com/en-us/vengeance-k90-performance-mmo-mechanical-gaming-keyboard). No idea WTF is up with that Amazon listing. Someone, somewhere is a dick, apparently.

Since I didn't find the silver body of the K90 very appealing, I got excited when you pointed me to the K95. In fact, I was prepared to pull the trigger on a K95 until I stumbled across...

  • The K95 RGB.

It looks like everything I was searching for and more! I can totally stomach the $50 price difference for that level of customizability. I'm a web/multimedia developer... and I never have enough programmable macro keys. On top of the 18 G-keys, being able to bind a macro to any key is huge for me.

At this point, unless I find hugely disappointing initial reviews, I think the K95 RGB is going to be my new keyboard.

I'll second the Ducky Shine... only heard good things about it.

Another board that hasn't been suggested is the Corsair K90. It should be noted, however, that the K90 isn't a fully mechanical board.... most of the keys use Cherry Reds but the macro keys and I believe maybe the number keys are regular rubber domes. I'd personally go with the Ducky Shine if I was looking for a full size, mechanical backlit keyboard.
