America doesn't have squash. We do have flavor powders you can mix into your water, though.

So, first, try not to think of it as "you were bad", you indulged a little. This doesn't mean you failed your lifestyle change, it doesn't mean you have no will power. Eating only 200 - 300 over your calorie limit is actually an incredible step, a lot of folks can go over by over 1000 calories (myself included!). Don't beat yourself up, these are the types of things that are going to happen. You have to live your life. The key to effective weight loss and longer-term healthy weight maintenance is ensuring that your weight loss plan doesn't depend on a perfect, lab-like setting.

With water drinking, there are a lot of different tricks. I know people that use those little Crystal Light Drink Packets to add flavor to their water. Other folks get a soda stream and add carbonation.

So, you might just be forcing yourself to drink more water than you need. Recent studies show that drinking excess water can be really challenging and might be causing your strong negative reaction to water drinking. What I do is have a camelbak water bottle at my desk, which I sip on throughout the day. I don't chug it, I just grab a sip whenever I feel like it. Maybe that might help?
