Get one! Though I will add a caveat when working with acrylic yarns (especially the super smooth ones) the winders like THIS have this thing that happens where the yarn slips off the forming ball and just try to wrap around the top of the winder. It's more than a bit annoying, but if you go that way (I still love mine in spite of it) there is a way around it, once it starts slipping stop winding and give the ball/cake whatever a good squeeze and compression it down and out a bit, they you can keep gong for a while, rinse repeat until it all done.
