This really is one of the sturdier keyboards I've used. The build quality is very good as well. I've only had it a week, but it's been good so far. I have friends who've had a Das for 2 years and 8 months, and all of ours seem identical in terms of wear, response, tactile key response, etc. Check out all these reviews on Amazon:

45/49 reviews are 5-stars, that's one of the best rated products I've seen. However, it seems like you like to abuse your keyboards so maybe something like this would be better:

One of my other friends uses this one. This thing uses different switches and is made out of like steel... it's very very heavy. But this may be the sturdy keyboard that you want. I only used it once, but it seemed pretty good and beefy, not sure about reliability and anything else really. Good luck in your quest though :)

>Christmas is coming up and I plan on asking for a Steelseries Sensei and a Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2013.

Don't get the Razer Blackwidow, I have nothing against Razer products, but you can get better for the money. Such as a Das Model S Mechanical Keyboard for 130$. I'm not sure about SteelSeries mice, but someone else here might have something to say.

Other than that, nice build!

I'm not going to pretend to be an expert but both the ones you have been recommended aren't that good. Razer keyboards are known to be some of the worst mechanical keyboards with very variable build quality and the 7G is just fairly average.

If I had $200 to spend on a mechanical keyboard I'd take a look at a Filco Ninja Majestouch-2. Are you bothered about having the num-pad? If not have a look at the ten keyless versions. I think you can get Filco keyboards from Amazon and NCIX.

If you don't like the look or price of the Filco another option is the Cooler Master Storm QuickFire or Das Keyboard. Good luck!

Das Keyboard Professional S only $79. I have one and I love it. This price is a steal. It's USB, but comes with the usb-ps/2 converter.

Well I maybe got the hard to click version, I got it almost a year ago off Amazon before they came out with the one with media controls. It most likely is the blue version maybe, how would I check at this point?

Okay it's this one, just pulled it off my Amazon order history.

>EDIT: Do you know anything about keyboards? I'm not getting much help in that reddit, and I'm hoping someone else does know.

Hands down, get this das keyboard: http://www.amazon.ca/Das-Keyboard-DASK3PROMS1-CO-Professional-Mechanical/dp/B003M567V6/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1344807160&sr=8-3

Beats everything in that price range. Sexy as fack! Honestly its either the $8 rubber dome keyboard or a quality mechanical one. Das makes amazing keyboards. Others are ducky, leopold, cherry and corsair.

Thanks I didn't know that. I'll probably go with the Das Keyboard Professional S then.

Buckling spring is a bit intense for me, but the mechanically switched keyboard I bought earlier this year is among the best upgrades I ever made to my computing experience.

I found a Das Keyboard for $100 here. At 100 dollars this keyboard is really worth it. This keyboard is a beast to type on (an orgasm on your fingers).

I got mine off of amazon. ATM, machanicalkeyboards.com seems to have them for the cheapest.

Is there any reason why amazon wouldn't work?
