Eh. I mean, I got a Dell craptop on sale for about $100, replaced Win10 with Linux, and it's been running at like 7hr/charge. Granted the screen isn't quite 1080p, it's 1366 x 768, but it works for me. I personally don't really like the keyboard layout on chromebooks (usually lacks a super key on the left side), and it's kind of a deal breaker for me since my setup relies on all 3 keys (control, super, alt) being present depending on what I'm using. Whatever floats your boat though.

Bah! Y'er makin' things hard!

You need a computer.

Have you ever considered graphic design? Programming? Heck even office work demands a computer.

Have you ever had a computer?

I can make a pretty good argument for why computers are rather necessary in today's society, and I can tell you you can get an older one for real cheap.
Any job you want more than a barebones service job can and is made miles easier by the use of computers. Every job you'll work with has a computer system in it, and learning how to fix the things, even a little bit, can help you immeasurably. Using a computer at home is the key to learning how to fix them when they break. And in particular it gets better if you take one on as a project.

Like, go find a laptop that doesn't work. Usually when it fails there's one part that failed. Identify it, and replace it, if it's a laptop, you'll need to know how to open the things. Not hard, but requires effort. You then need to make sure you get the exact part that failed for that model of computer. Amazon has tons of them. It might be kinda pricy, but not as expensive as a new one.

Once you build it, you'll probably need to install an OS. I recommend Ubuntu Linux, 'cause it's free and easy to get, plus it gives you serious nerd cred.

Even if you want to get a new one, it's useful.

I suggest a laptop, as they'll have a lower spacial and power footprint, plus you can take it with you.

here's one, here's another, fair warning on this one, the picture shows win7, and the description shows chromeOS. The description will be more accurate, but you can't beat the price

If you need to get a different OS on it, let me know. I can help you with that.

If you ever have an IT question, I will give you all the advice I can short of visiting your house.

Just send me a PM.
