I like both. The miniseries is longer, and gets into a little more detail with things, and the effects are overall better.

Visually, it's a lot lighter, too. Here's the trailer. If you like Dune, I think it's worth a watch.

You can't source it on dvd? I used to own the first mini series. Man did P H Moriarty make that hard to watch.

I was lucky and bought them on DVD at release so I have them forever, especially since I keep digital backups (and in case anyone asks, no you can't have a copy, they are backups to save my DVD's, not to conduct piracy).
