I'm in the UK so I'm not familiar with US pricing. That said the GTX 460 is around $150 on Amazon.com and the GTX 560 can be had for $185. The 560 is a whole lot faster for another $35.

I don't know if I'd sell the PS3, but I'd definitely go for building your own rig. I built my own rig a few months ago and it's the best damn PC I've ever owned. (And I priced out a system with a few "PC Builders" and mine had all the same capabilities, sometimes better, and for about $400 cheaper.)

Here's my rig:

Thermaltake Armor A60 Chassis
>This case has a TON of room for internals, and 4 front panels. I have a Blu-Ray drive and a 1TB hard drive already. I plan on adding a second 1TB drive and a memory card reader, and I'll still have room for 2 other front accessible drives and at least 3 more internal drives (more actually, I just can't remember how many more). The "USB 3.0 front jack" is a little misleading, because it's actually just a plug from the back of the motherboard into the front of the case, but otherwise, I have no complaints about this case.

>I'm buying another one of these for SLI in a few weeks

>Also buying another set of these soon - the rampage has 6 ram slots

>BD writers are still super expensive so I got this drive instead. I like it

Asus 22 inch LED Monitor
>I know this isn't required for the system, but it's an amazing, low energy use monitor. Did I mention it's amazing? The picture is really incredible.

And I know you said you already priced yours out, but here's what I used for mine. It ran about $1500 but it's so worth it. I did most of my shopping through Amazon, as NewEgg charges tax in my state...dammit.

Ya I was looking into some graphics cards to get. I could not find anything really good for somewhat cheap. Right now I might get this https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-PCI-Express-Graphics-01G-P3-1366-TR/dp/B004DKWLB4/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1469519988&sr=8-3&keywords=Nvidia+GeForce+GTX+460 but im not sure if I should get something better. If you know of any good graphics cards that aren't to pricey I might consider getting one.
