If there's any chance at all of ticks or flying insects, I'm wearing long sleeves and pants with Insect-Shield treatment and probably a headnet. No way am I contracting Lyme disease from a recreational activity.

I carry a Patagonia Nano-Puff jacket rolled up in my pack in case it gets cold, and one of their TorrentShells in the event of hard rain.

Socks are Darn Tough Micro Crew Light Hikers (synthetic wool blend) and I keep a dry pair in my pack. Lifetime warranty - I'll never buy another pair of hiking socks.

Underwear are Patagonia Capilene Boxer Briefs.

Wool buff...multipurpose.

Yeah, that's a lot of Patagucci stuff... it was all on sale though and it performs well. I'm not dressing for fashion.
