For the grooves and small detail, I used a Pitt Artists pen, about 0.1 mm, bought it at a hobby shop, used a q-tip to remove excess around the grooves, it led to really crisp and delicious looking detail. I used something similar to this.

Thanks for the compliment and question! I teach, so I strive to have neat handwriting for whiteboard work. :)

I love the Staedler triplus fineliners so far! They didn't arrive until a couple of days after my notebook, though, and I was eager to get started. :) Many of the earlier pages were done using one or more of the following:

Faber-Castell Pitt artist pen, #199 black, XS
Sakura Pigma Micron 005, various colors
OfficeMax metallic marker, fine point, various colors
Prismacolor Verithin colored pencils
