If it breaks and it falls over and kills your cat, your lawsuit will probably get held up by the fact you were over the rated weight, but in day to day use it hasn't made a difference for me.

I'm using one that lists 11lbs as the max without issuse

The main problem is you have to turn the tension higher (which makes the spring stiffer) to make the monitor not droop, so it's a little firm when you try
and move it up and down (swivel is still easy). I suspect even if there was a higher weight limit that'd be the case.

I feel like lately there are a lot more options for ~50 and below monitor arms then when I bought mine so I'd search for one that works for you, but all of them have adjustable tension, so just turn that up and don't worry too much about the weight rating.

Way more important to make sure your desk can support the weight of the monitor. The arm can be rated to a really high value, but what really matters is that your desk doesn't droop or sag once you clamp the monitor to it. I also reposition the mount once every few months to make sure it's not wearing away at the desk material

Thank you :)
It's an cheap no-brand monitor arm. Bought in store in Sweden.

I think that by putting the sub closer to myself (and off of the carpet) I may be able to experience the same level of bass but at lower volumes, saving others in the household from the sound. I really like the idea of having the speakers on stands, that's something I've entirely neglected to think about - thank you.

I've tried mounting monitors to my desk before using this Fleximount, but it was an absolute nightmare to install and use and it eventually crashed down into my desk late one night even after some of the most aggressive tightening techniques I could get away with.

I really appreciate your input, the stands are definitely something I'll looking into.

Q:
Question about your mount - is it modular, is that how you were able to get 2 monitors above the single? The Amazon page shows 2 monitors on bottom.

A :
Yes. You can do pretty much what you want with it. I assembled it differently than the promotional pictures. I used an arm for the bottom screen, the top left monitor is on the main pole and i used the other arm for the top right monitor.

Since i mounted this setup i did one for my friend using mounts like this one for each screens and it's far more versatile.
