This is the case I own, and the value of the starter pack is amazing. The pouch itself sells for $30 USD on Amazon and the starter pack is $20.

But holy cow, it did NOT cost this much when I bought it. I think it was in the $20 range when I bought it. I can't attest for any other cases, but I really like the hard pouch this bundle came with.

I don't know if it will fit in your pocket, but the case itself only fits the vita, so I thought it wasn't bulky.

I pair it up with a larger case that has all my cables on one side and the Vita case on the other. I'll leave the case with cables and such in my vehicle most of the time and just carry the small case in my pocket.

There's probably not much you can do repair-wise. You can contact sony about it and they'll probably replace it for a huge fee (probably over $100). The problem is that it's a touch screen and it's probably connected to a digitizer.

I bought a screen protector and a case to prevent stuff like this from happening.

I bought this instead. Excellent build quality, sadly no space for games or extra memory card but you're not going to get those with a pouch either.

there's only a couple of millimeters for it to move around and my vita is in perfect condition. it's perfect and allows me to just toss it in my bag without being too bulky. nowhere to keep extra physical games, though, but most of mine are digital.

I use this (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00F34B6JW/) and I love it. I don't know if there's anything that folds back like you are asking, it seems like it would be cumbersome for holding while playing.

I've used this hard pouch for two years already. Not exactly low profile with the brand name displayed and all, but it's a really nice case.

What you want is a pouch or sleeve. I would recommend something like the old PSP sleeve/pouch that came with the PSP phat. At least material wise. As thin as possible isn't a good idea, you want some thickness to absorb the shock the Vita will get from jiggling and to not scratch the screens on either side. I tried using my old PSP pouch on my Vita 1k, but it was too wide. I believe the slim will be as well.

I suggest getting something where the material is soft on the inside and sturdy on the outside. Although if you're placing your vita where it wont get smushed or smashed by yourself or any outside force, then go for it. That's a good pouch. I've seen similar for $6 on amazon.

This one isn't that bad.

I bought a bunch of these when I last went to Akihabara. They've been great for both species of Vita and my PSPs.
