Is this what you would call a modern wool blend sock? Or perhaps this? I've seen and tried about every type sock going through dumpsters. Many of them still with the display tags on them. Polyesters, nylon, spandex, acrylic, all give me swamp foot but if there is any amount of wool mixed in it the problems increase exponentially. Even when I try to sleep with just the socks on so they can breath enough to mostly avoid swamp foot they become so uncomfortable I'm forced to pull them off. Any amount of wool in coats or other clothing cannot remain in contact with any part of my skin for any significant length of time before it becomes too irritating to continue wearing. But that's absolutely mild compared to what it does to my feet.
