You get what you pay for. My rich friend was on a traveling baseball team and pretty much all the kids on that team we’re from wealthy families. That didn’t mean that all kids had to shell out a ton of money to play baseball. Obviously if you’re playing at a high level the cost is going to go up the higher that level is, but for entry level I can buy new youth goalie pads right now for $90
