So I always take a puzzle with me on family trips. It turns out that one aunt and one cousin's wife really like them. So they will sit down and work for hours like me. What I find in that case is that two of us can't work on one section at the same time. So like if there is a big blue section of sky - really only one person can work on that. You can both sort for it, obviously. But when you get down to trying every piece to see which one fits "that" spot, you get your "rejected" piece piles confused if you're both working on the sky.

But if there are two sections for us to work on, it goes swimmingly. So I'd say pick a puzzle with a lot of variety - not a big swath of sky or trees or grass.

With that in mind, you could go for a White Mountain collage puzzle. Find a subject that the people in your group might get nostalgic over and pick that: TV, classic movies, books, toys, games, pop culture, beer, candy, rock music, national parks, the 1990's, world travel, the aughts, anyway, you get the idea. There are a lot of subjects that people can go "I remember THAT!" and then maybe tell a story related to it.

Or, you could look for a puzzle based on where you're from. I have always lived around the coast so I do a lot of beach and ocean themed puzzles. Or if you have Disney fans, you could look at the Ceaco Kincade Disney puzzles (but those may violate the first rule I set above - and they're kinda blurry). Star Wars fans? Marvel fans? College football fans (lots of those puzzles around)? General sports fans? Shoe lovers getting ready for Black Friday? Car lovers? Fishermen (yes, I've done that one)? Ornithologists? Entomologists? Paleontologists?

If there are kids in the group, I've had good responses from the Ceaco Selfies series.

Edit: What on earth? Some part of my comment (I think a link) generated a Bot war in here. Very weird.
