There's even a gamepad MotoMod that reviews fairly well on Amazon even if it is overpriced.

Motorola doesn't sell their Mods on Amazon, so the only options are used on Amazon, but Verizon still sells them used.

Consideration before potentially buying, this only works on Moto Z smartphones (z Play, z, z Force, z2 Play, z2, z2 Force, z3 Play, z3) and the Home button cannot be rebound, so the guide button can't be used for streaming.

> Console and PC are nearly the same thing and are getting closer all the time

Outside of the core architecture, not at all.

> Touch controls are the definition of mobile phone games, and bypassing is is cheating.

I'll give you the "definition of mobile games", but if bypassing is cheating then owning an Nvidia Shield, Nvidia Shield controller, or literally any official gamepad peripheral for mobile is cheating.

> All of these I just listed have approved versions for each platform. Mobile gaming does not have any approved peripherals associated with it.

Except for all of the official controller peripherals and dedicated gaming devices that exist for Android?

> Console and PC can be played with whatever control scheme anyone wants, but the point of mobile gaming is you are restricted to the touch screen, your fingers block some of the screen, you can quickly play anywhere, and it is a super casual experience.

Then why can I- and by extension, anyone- plug in a controller or keyboard into my/their phone? All you need is an extra peripheral, which you'd need on a PC too.

Your entire argument is deeply flawed when you consider everything you're saying applies to mobile, too- I can use a touchscreen or a keyboard or a controller or really any USB device on my phone, as can really anyone with an Android device (or iOS, in the case of bluetooth; I don't know if USB OTG dongles exist for idevices or not), just like I can use a keyboard, controller, or really any USB device on my PC. Devices with inbuilt controllers even exist, alongside a plethora of dedicated, first-party mobile gaming peripherals. Controllers made by major gaming brands designed for Android as a whole even exist; not going to count it as a first party device as it doesn't seem tailor made for the Razer Phone, but the general point still stands.
