This might not be allowed, but my suggestions would be something I will put off buying for myself plus two things I need. :)
make sure they use "hard wax" aka not strips because the strips stick to the skin and so when they're pulled off there's way more trauma. I had a bikini wax done with strips once and vowed to never again. now I wax at home with this. it's also way cheaper, but requires practice

Buy the portable wax heater. Let it completely melt and then give it 10-12 mins to cool off. Apply the wax using popsicle strips or similar, let cool slightly and then rip off. Have been waxing this way for years.
