I think those cheap 3 button checkers don't balance. They are super handy, but they check read voltage, not shift it - unless I'm wrong, then I'd be happy cause I don't have to buy this:

Which checks and equalizes. You can just chuck an unbalanced battery on that for a few hours and it should be even, I believe.

I definitely wouldn’t attempt to charge it in my house. Not for the first few times, at least. If it’s cool enough tomorrow, I might string an extension cord out to the middle of the concrete patio and try charging it in the shade.

When I checked it earlier with this little guy, it read 4.13v and 4.14v. I just checked it again and it reads the same. So it hasn’t dropped

If I were to get a Li-Po would I be able to keep my current charger if I buy a separate balancer like this one or would I need to buy a whole separate thing. Also would you say the advantages of a lipo outweigh its disadvantages vs a nimh?
