I don't think I will do any soldering right now. What do you think about this cable? It's a bit cheap but I would rather not spend $30+ on cable if I don't really need too.
The US$20 Hosa FSC 385 + US$10 Hosa CSS115 TRS cable will work fine, but you give up the LED of the H&K switch. If you want the LED's, buy the H&K for US$50.
The key is that the footswitch use latching switches and have a 1/4" TRS stereo connector for the amp. You have to buy the cable separate for the Hosa; IIRC, the H&K has a 15' cable permanently attached.
